Omschrijving
De in 1917 in opdracht van Onnes van Nijenrode gebouwde RENTMEESTERSWONING maakt deel uit van het reeds al in de middeleeuwen bestaande historische buitenplaats Eese. Het huis is gebouwd in hetzelfde jaar als het houten landhuis en het nabijgelegen koetshuis annex garage met paardenstal, die dezelfde architectonische kenmerken bezitten. De panden dateren uit de tijd dat het landgoed als landbouwbedrijf betekenis kreeg. Het dodekopkleurige, met groene en gele accenten verlevendigde grenenhouten huis is gemaakt van een uit Noorwegen afkomstig bouwpakket. Het is opgetrokken uit planken van verschillende dikten die met elkaar verbonden zijn door middel van zwaluwstaart en andere verbindingen, op een fundament van veldkeien met hoekstenen van graniet. De balkkoppen van de zolderbalken steken door de gevel heen. Het huis heeft een samengestelde met riet gedekte kap met korfboogvormige dakkapellen boeven drie van de vier gevels, een segmentboogvormig dakraam in het voorste dakschild, alsmede twee zich verjongende bakstenen schoorstenen. De rechtgesloten T-vensters hebben onderluiken in de kleuren van Eese. De entree bevindt zich in de voorgevel met een veranda onder een op gedraaide kolommen rustend overstek. Op de wijzigingen aan de vensters van de serre na is het exterieur van het huis geheel intact gebleven. Het interieur is ingrijpend gewijzigd, op enkele oorspronkelijke kasten en een binnenportiek met schouderboog na. Vensters en deuren zijn bovendien nog voorzien van de uit de bouwtijd daterende omlijstingen met kroonlijst.

The STEWARD'S HOUSE built in 1917 on the orders of Onnes van Nijenrode forms part of the historic country estate Eese which already existed in the Middle Ages. The house was built in the same year as the wooden country house and the nearby coach house with garage and horse stable, which possess the same architectural characteristics. The buildings date from the period when the estate acquired importance as an agricultural enterprise. The dodecagonal-coloured, pine wooden house enlivened with green and yellow accents was made from a building package originating from Norway. It is constructed from wooden planks of varying thicknesses which are connected to each other by means of dovetail and other joints, on a foundation of field stones with granite corner stones. The heads of the attic beams project through the facade. The house has a composite thatched roof with basket-arch-shaped roof dormers above three of the four facades, a segmental-arch-shaped roof window in the front roof slope, as well as two tapering brick chimneys. The right-angled T-windows have lower shutters in the colours of Eese. The entrance is located in the front facade with a veranda under an overhang resting on turned columns. Apart from alterations to the windows of the conservatory, the exterior of the house has remained completely intact. The interior has undergone major alterations, with the exception of some original cupboards and an inner porch with shoulder arch. Windows and doors are moreover still provided with mouldings with cornices dating from the building period.
