Omschrijving onderdeel 11: WESTELIJK TOILETGEBOUW.
Inleiding
Het westelijke TOILETGEBOUW als onderdeel van het complex "De Eder Kuil" uit 1936 naar ontwerp van Weener, is gelegen nabij de zuidwestelijke entree van het terrein en is bedoeld voor het publiek. Het gebouw ligt met de achter- en zijgevel tegen een helling. Het gebouw is volledig uitgevoerd in de stijl van het Nieuwe Bouwen met toepassing van betonskeletbouw.
Omschrijving
Het toiletgebouw op rechthoekige plattegrond bevat aan de oostzijde een bergruimte en een herentoilet met een privaat en twee urinoirs; en aan de westzijde een damestoilet met twee privaten. Het toiletgebouw heeft één bouwlaag onder een luifeldak met groot overstek op betonnen consoles. Op het dak bevindt zich een betonnen vleugelstuk. De betonnen gevels zijn gepleisterd met contrasterende zwarte plint. De voorgevel heeft een open karakter en is voor 2/3 gesloten. Tussen de entrees is de decoratie met een rood blokje nog aanwezig. De privaten worden afgesloten met een houten paneeldeur met ruiten. De twee herenurinoirs zijn vervaardigd van bruin mat geglazuurde keramiek. De oostelijke zijmuur is verlengd om te functioneren als keermuur.
Waardering
Het westelijke TOILETGEBOUW is van algemene architectonische, cultuurhistorische en stedenbouwkundige waarde;
- als voorbeeld van een toiletgebouw in de vernieuwende stijl en bouwtechniek van het Nieuwe Bouwen en vanwege de verzorgde detaillering;
- als goed voorbeeld van een toiletgebouw in groene setting;
- als belangrijk onderdeel van het cultuurhistorische verschijnsel het openluchttheater in het interbellum;

Introduction
The western TOILET BUILDING as part of the complex "De Eder Kuil" from 1936 designed by Weener, is located near the southwestern entrance of the site and is intended for public use. The building is situated with its rear and side facades against a slope. The building is executed entirely in the style of the Nieuwe Bouwen with the application of concrete frame construction.
Description
The toilet building on a rectangular floor plan contains on the eastern side a storage room and a gentlemen's toilet with one cubicle and two urinals; and on the western side a ladies' toilet with two cubicles. The toilet building has one storey beneath a canopy roof with large overhang on concrete consoles. On the roof is a concrete wing piece. The concrete facades are plastered with a contrasting black plinth. The front facade has an open character and is closed for 2/3 of its width. Between the entrances the decoration with a small red block is still present. The cubicles are closed off with a wooden panelled door with panes. The two gentlemen's urinals are made of brown matt glazed ceramic. The eastern side wall is extended to function as a retaining wall.
Valuation
The western TOILET BUILDING is of general architectural, cultural-historical and urban planning value;
- as an example of a toilet building in the innovative style and building technique of the Nieuwe Bouwen and because of the careful detailing;
- as a good example of a toilet building in a green setting;
- as an important component of the cultural-historical phenomenon of the open-air theatre in the interwar period;
