In 1939-1940 aangelegd VERDEDIGINGSWERK, bestaande uit een betonnen mitrailleurkazemat van het type B. De kazemat is gebouwd in het kader van de versterking van de Valleistelling,
Omschrijving:
Het betreft hier een flankerende betonkazemat. De kazemat was bewapend met een zware mitrailleur en was bedoeld voor flankerend vuur. De vijandzijde is gedekt door 1,20 m gewapend beton, terwijl het dak 1 meter dik is en de achterzijde 80 cm. Het schietgat met een schootsveld van 40 graden is gedekt door een uitsteeksel van beton, zodat de opening voor de vijand moeilijk was waar te nemen. De deur was uitgerust met een geweerschietgat. Het weerstandsvermogen tegen artilleriegranaten was conform de lichtste weerstandsklasse (W12-W15). De kazemat is voorzien van een klimkoker.
De kazemat bevindt zich op de Linie van Juffrouwwijk ten noorden van de spoorlijn Utrecht-Arnhem en ten westen van de Slaperdijk. Op dit deel van de Grebbelinie bevindt zich uit dezelfde periode ten westen van deze kazemat nog een andere mitrailleurkazemat van het type S3 uit dezelfde periode.

This is a flanking concrete casemate. The casemate was armed with a heavy machine gun and was intended for flanking fire. The enemy side is covered by 1.20 m of reinforced concrete, while the roof is 1 metre thick and the rear 80 cm. The firing loophole with a field of fire of 40 degrees is covered by a concrete projection, so that the opening was difficult for the enemy to perceive. The door was equipped with a rifle loophole. The resistance against artillery shells conformed to the lightest resistance class (W12-W15). The casemate is provided with a climbing tube.
