Inleiding:
De Juffersluis is gebouwd ter vervanging van een eerdere sluis uit 1754. De civiele functie van de duikersluis was de waterhuishouding in het gebied. De militaire functie was de doorvoer van inundatiewater vanuit de 1e of Veenendaalse kom naar de 2e of Groepse Kom.
Omschrijving:
In 1851 aangelegd WATERWERK, bestaande uit een duikersluis. De sluis bestaat uit een tonvormig gewelf met aan weerszijden vleugelmuren en een doorstroomopening van 1,56 meter. De sluis is in metselwerk uitgevoerd met hardstenen hoekprofielen. Aan beide zijden van de sluis bevindt zich een schotbalksponning. In de sluiswand is een jaartalsteen aangebracht met de tekst: 1754 den 8. de maend .30 en I. Peter Wiltvang geleyd den eerste steen en een jaartalsteen met de initialen van de naam van de toenmalige dijkgraaf van het waterschap de Slaperdijk.

De Juffersluis is van algemeen belang vanwege:
