MUZIEKKAPEL uit de jaren dertig van de twintigste eeuw, ten oosten van het kasteel gesitueerd op de heuvelrand van de Smidsberg, aan het gazon dat uitziet over het lager gelegen park en kasteel. De muziekkapel staat in een lange traditie van musiceren op de Smidsberg - ook in voorlopers van de muziekkapel - en op de Koningsberg die teruggaat tot 1859. De muziekkapel behoorde bij het (in 2007 gesloopte) Hotel Rosendael, voorheen het Logement genaamd, dat was gebouwd door kasteelheet Assueer Lubbert Adolph Torck (later Hotel Kraijesteijn). De kapel staat op een rode bakstenen voet op een licht trapeziumvormige grondslag waarvan de achter(noord-)zijde 3-zijdig is uitgebouwd. De kapel is opgetrokken in verticale kraaldelen en wordt door een met leien gedekt zadeldak overkapt. Aan de voorzijde wordt de aan deze zijde open kapel voorafgegaan door een bakstenen trap van vier treden. Aan weerzijde van de trap een eenvoudige balustrade. In de voet zes rechthoekige ijzeren ventilatieroosters. Inwendig heeft de kapel een ovale grondslag die door een ovale overkoepeling wordt afgesloten. De kapel werd omstreeks 2000 gerestaureerd.
Waardering
De MUZIEKKAPEL, onderdeel van de historische buitenplaats Rosendael, is in cultuurhistorisch opzicht van algemeen belang
- wegens de gaafheid;
- wegens de functionele en compositorische ensemblewaarde van de bebouwing op de Smidsberg met het kasteel en de bebouwing aan de voet van de Smidsberg;

MUSIC PAVILION from the 1930s, situated to the east of the castle on the ridge of the Smidsberg, at the lawn overlooking the lower-lying park and castle. The music pavilion stands in a long tradition of musical performances on the Smidsberg - also in predecessors of the music pavilion - and on the Koningsberg dating back to 1859. The music pavilion belonged to the (demolished in 2007) Hotel Rosendael, formerly called the Logement, which was built by castle owner Assueer Lubbert Adolph Torck (later Hotel Kraijesteijn). The pavilion stands on a red brick base on a slightly trapezoidal ground plan of which the rear (north) side is extended in three directions. The pavilion is constructed of vertical beading and is covered by a gabled roof clad with slate. At the front, the pavilion which is open on this side is preceded by a brick staircase of four steps. On either side of the staircase a simple balustrade. In the base six rectangular iron ventilation grilles. Internally the pavilion has an oval ground plan which is closed off by an oval vault. The pavilion was restored around 2000.

The MUSIC PAVILION, component of the historic country estate Rosendael, is of general importance from a cultural-historical perspective
