Onderdeel 2: Omschrijving HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG van de HISTORISCHE BUITENPLAATS TER LEEDE.
De kern van het park van de historische buitenplaats Ter Leede beslaat een vrijwel vierkant terrein en wordt door een sloot aan noord- en oostzijde begeleid. Aan die zijden ligt het open polderlandschap. Centraal ligt het huis met aangebouwde boerderij. De aanleg van het park vond plaats aan het begin van de 20ste eeuw in late landschapsstijl, die ook gardenesque stijl wordt genoemd. Kenmerken van deze stijl komen grotendeels overeen met de kenmerken van de landschapsstijl: slingerende lijnen, zichten naar punten buiten de aanleg, een slingerende vijver waarvan het begin en eind niet zichtbaar zijn, een rondwandeling en afwisseling in de taferelen tijdens die rondwandeling. Bij de gardenesque stijl wordt de afwisseling steeds belangrijker. Die afwisseling komt voornamelijk tot uiting in het gebruikte plantmateriaal, waarbij veel nieuwe soorten werden toegepast. Aan de noordoost- en zuidoostkant zijn vanuit het huis lange zichtlijnen over het polderland geschapen. Rond het huis liggen open ruimtes, grote gazons met daaromheen beplanting van heesters (voornamelijk rododendrons) en bomen. Een markant element is de grote Fagus sylvatica (bruine beuk) op het gazon ten noorden van het huis. In het noordwesten van het terrein ligt een oude, waarschijnlijk nog 18de-eeuwse eikenlaan die op de kadastrale minuut van 1819 staat getekend. Ten noorden van het huis loopt een gebogen vijver in noordwest-zuidoostelijke richting, waarbij de noordwestzijde verdwijnt in het bos. In de vijver ligt een eilandje. Op de noordpunt heeft de vijver een in een hoek van 90° omgeknikt, met de omringende sloot parallel lopend, beloop: een overblijfsel van de voormalige omgrachting. De randen van het terrein worden gekenmerkt door afwisselend open en gesloten ruimtes met een opvallend reliëf (gerealiseerd met vrijgekomen grond uit de vijver). In de gesloten ruimtes met dichte beplanting is een aantal solitaire exoten geplant. De oorspronkelijke rondwandeling om de vijver, begeleid door een laanbeplanting met eiken, is aan de oostkant verstoord doordat daar in de jaren zeventig van de 20ste eeuw een bungalow is gebouwd. Deze valt buiten de bescherming.

Component 2: Description of HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT of the HISTORIC COUNTRY ESTATE TER LEEDE.
The core of the park of the historic country estate Ter Leede covers an almost square area and is bordered by a ditch on the north and east sides. On those sides lies the open polder landscape. Centrally located is the house with attached farmhouse. The development of the park took place at the beginning of the 20th century in late landscape style, which is also called gardenesque style. The characteristics of this style largely correspond with the characteristics of landscape style: winding lines, views towards points outside the layout, a winding pond of which the beginning and end are not visible, a circuit walk and variety in the scenes during that circuit walk. In the gardenesque style variety becomes increasingly important. This variety is expressed primarily in the plant material used, with many new species being applied. Long sight lines over the polder landscape were created from the house on the northeast and southeast sides. Around the house are open spaces, large lawns with shrub planting around them (predominantly rhododendrons) and trees. A striking element is the large Fagus sylvatica (copper beech) on the lawn to the north of the house. In the northwest of the area lies an old, probably still 18th-century oak avenue which is drawn on the cadastral map of 1819. To the north of the house runs a curved pond in a northwest-southeast direction, with the northwest side disappearing into woodland. In the pond lies a small island. At the north point the pond has a course that bends at a 90° angle, running parallel to the surrounding ditch: a remnant of the former moat. The edges of the area are characterised by alternating open and enclosed spaces with a striking relief (created with excavated earth from the pond). In the enclosed spaces with dense planting a number of solitary exotic plants have been planted. The original circuit walk around the pond, accompanied by an avenue of oaks, is disturbed on the east side by the construction of a bungalow in the 1970s. This falls outside the protection.
