In de kloostertuin bevindt zich even zuidelijk van het beeld van de Heilige Aloysius sinds 1890-1900 een kunstmatige GROT die aan het lijden van Jezus in de Hof van Olijven is gewijd. De grot bestaat uit onder meer aarde, cement en sintels. Inwendig een structuur van gangetjes, trappetjes, verschillende waarnemingsnivau's en doorkijkjes op de aangrijpende bijbelse scène. Naast een beeld van Jezus in doodsangst bevat de grot ook beelden van de troostende engel met de beker in de hand en drie slapende apostelen: Petrus, Jakobus en Johannes. De gepolychromeerde beelden zijn in keramisch materiaal uitgevoerd. De voorziening van kleurige glaspanelen (geel, groen, rood, wit) in de bovenzijden van de grot veroorzaakt een opmerkelijk dramatisch effect en mystieke beleving. Bijbeltekst uit Mattheus 18:36 ("Traurig ist unsere Seele bis zum Tode") in mozaiëk (geel fond, letters en kader zwart, hoofdletter T in rood).

Description of complex component 29
In the monastery garden, situated just south of the image of Saint Aloysius, since 1890-1900 there has been an artificial GROTTO dedicated to the suffering of Jesus in the Garden of Olives. The grotto consists of, among other things, earth, cement and clinker. Inside a structure of passageways, small staircases, different viewing levels and vistas of the poignant biblical scene. In addition to an image of Jesus in mortal agony, the grotto also contains images of the consoling angel with the chalice in hand and three sleeping apostles: Peter, James and John. The polychrome images are executed in ceramic material. The provision of coloured glass panels (yellow, green, red, white) in the upper sides of the grotto creates a remarkable dramatic effect and mystical experience. Biblical text from Matthew 18:36 ("Traurig ist unsere Seele bis zum Tode") in mosaic (yellow ground, letters and border black, capital letter T in red).
