Omschrijving complexonderdeel 25
In het oostelijk deel van de kloostertuin staat in de hoek van twee kloostermuren de VERRIJZENISKAPEL. De plattegrond is L-vormig. Via een portiekje met twee zuilen en een halfzuil, waartussen twee plantenbakken zijn geplaatst, is de Verrijzeniskapel toegankelijk. De kapel is aan de buitenzijde met een rode cementachtige substantie aangestreken, hetgeen een geboetseerd aanzien oplevert. Inwendig zijn de wanden van de kapel in geel en groen op een ruwe ondergrond afgestreken, de plint is ten dele rood, het gewelf wit uitgevoerd. De wanden van de kapel bevatten vijf kleurige rondboogvormige glas-in-loodramen, alle voorzien van Latijnse teksten met betrekking tot het Paasmysterie. De uitbouw is met een kleine koepel uitgevoerd. In dit gedeelte is de Verrijzenis van Christus op dramatische wijze weergegeven. Diagonaal in het beeldvlak staat een geopende grafkist opgesteld, de deksel is ter zijde geschoven. De deksel bevat teksten in het Latijn (Marcus. 16.4). Op de voorgrond knielt een engel, erachter is de Verrezen Christus ten voeten uit weergegeven, de rechterhand geheven. Beide beelden zijn in groot formaat uitgevoerd en bevinden zich in een rotsig landschap. Voor deze scène staat een houten knielbank opgesteld. De wand tegenover de ingang bevat een kleurrijke wandapplicatie met een voorstelling van een Lam, liggend op een rotspunt, van waaruit vier waterstromen vloeien naar een kudde van acht zich lavende schapen op grazige gronden, staand tussen palmen en de rots met het Lam Gods. Hierboven de tekst "Victimae paschali laudes Agnus demit oves". In de aangrenzende wand zijn op geglazuurde tegels de namen van kloosterlingen uit Steijl genoteerd die in den vreemde zijn gestorven en niet op de kloosterbegraafplaats konden worden begraven. De overige wanden zijn ingelegd met kleurig mozaïek. De vloertegels zijn met geometrische patronen gedecoreerd.

De Verrijzeniskapel tegen de kloostermuur bezit algemeen belang wegens:
- de ouderdom;

Description of complex component 25
In the eastern part of the monastery garden stands in the corner of two monastery walls the RESURRECTION CHAPEL. The floor plan is L-shaped. Via a small porch with two columns and a half column, between which two planters are placed, the Resurrection Chapel is accessible. The chapel is treated on the outside with a red cement-like substance, which gives it a plastered appearance. Inside the walls of the chapel are finished in yellow and green on a rough ground, the plinth is partly red, the vault is finished in white. The walls of the chapel contain five coloured round-arched stained-glass windows, all furnished with Latin texts relating to the Easter Mystery. The extension is executed with a small dome. In this section the Resurrection of Christ is depicted in a dramatic manner. Diagonally in the picture plane a opened coffin is positioned, the lid is shifted to the side. The lid contains texts in Latin (Mark. 16.4). In the foreground an angel kneels, behind it the Risen Christ is depicted full-length, the right hand raised. Both images are executed in large format and are located in a rocky landscape. A wooden kneeling bench is placed in front of this scene. The wall opposite the entrance contains a colourful wall application with a representation of a Lamb, lying on a rocky point, from which four water streams flow to a flock of eight sheep bathing on grassy grounds, standing between palms and the rock with the Lamb of God. Above this the text "Victimae paschali laudes Agnus demit oves". In the adjoining wall the names of monks from Steijl are noted on glazed tiles, who died abroad and could not be buried in the monastery cemetery. The remaining walls are inlaid with coloured mosaic. The floor tiles are decorated with geometric patterns.
