Omschrijving complexonderdeel 12
Even ten noorden van de Lourdesgrot staat op een verheffing in de kloostertuin een HOUTEN PRIEELTJE. Het optrekje heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en is aan de (lange) voorzijde geheel open, de overige wanden hebben een borstwering met daarboven een indeling van boomtakken en wel zodanig, dat weer en wind er dwars door heen kunnen spelen. De vloer is van beton. Het flauw hellende zadeldak, geschraagd door een middenstijl met windverband en twee eenzijdig geschoorde zijstijlen aan de korte kanten van het prieeltje, is gedekt met rode Oud-hollandse dakpannen. Tegen de drie gesloten zijden staan vaste banken opgesteld; de banken zijn opgebouwd uit latten. Het prieeltje dateert, naar schatting, uit ongeveer 1900. Volgens de overlevering verbleef Arnoldus Janssen (1837-1909)hier graag.

Just north of the Lourdes grotto, on a raised area in the cloister garden, stands a WOODEN ARBOUR. The structure has a rectangular plan and is entirely open on the (long) front side; the remaining walls have a breastwork with above it a framework of branches arranged in such a way that weather and wind can play through it. The floor is concrete. The gently sloping gabled roof, braced by a central post with wind bracing and two single-sided braced side posts at the short ends of the arbour, is covered with red Dutch Old tiles. Fixed benches are arranged against the three closed sides; the benches are constructed from slats. The arbour dates, by estimation, from approximately 1900. According to tradition, Arnoldus Janssen (1837-1909) liked to stay here.
