Omschrijving
SLINGERTUIN aan de oost- en zuidzijde van boerderij "Zuidpool". De slingertuin dateert uit circa 1879 en is een ontwerp van J. Vroom sr. (1855-1923). Het betreft een slingertuin die in de jaren 2001-2002 werd gerehabiliteerd op basis van een tekening en op basis van in de bodem aanwezige, overtuigende ontwerp-elementen als padenstructuur, reliëf en oude boomaanplant. In de slingertuin staan verschillende oude bomen, w.o. rode beuk, goudes, kastanje (alle naar schatting uit omstreeks 1880). Vóór of ten zuiden van de monumentale ingangspartij van de boerderij sluit de slingerpadenstructuur aan op de buitentrap van "Zuidpool". De tuinaanleg kent verschillende glooiingen: pal ten zuiden van de ingangspartij; ten zuid-westen van de ingangspartij (tussen goudes en twee rode beuken); in de noord-oostelijke hoek waar o.m. een heuveltje wordt aangetroffen. De boerderij staat letterlijk op het hoogtepunt van de slingertuin. De padenstructuur heeft een sterk draaiend karakter en biedt wisselende aspecten op de boerderij, op de gracht en op de omgevende weidse en vlakke agrarische gronden. De slingerpaden zijn sinds 2001-2002 voorzien van woudzand, het pad parallel aan de oostgevel van de boerderij is bedekt met steenpuin. De tussen de paden gesitueerde bedden, gazons en perken vertonen cirkelvormen en ovalen, zijn gelobd of niervormig. Aan de noord-westzijde begrenst een bakstenen tuinmuur de slingertuin, de grens in het noord-oosten loopt tot en met het rechthoekige zandpad dat de vruchtbomen omgeeft.

SINGLE-PATH GARDEN on the east and south sides of the farmhouse "Zuidpool". The single-path garden dates from circa 1879 and is a design by J. Vroom sr. (1855-1923). It is a single-path garden that was rehabilitated in the years 2001-2002 on the basis of a drawing and on the basis of convincing design elements present in the ground such as path structure, relief and old tree planting. In the single-path garden there are various old trees, including red beech, service trees, chestnut (all estimated to be from around 1880). In front of or to the south of the monumental entrance section of the farmhouse, the winding path structure connects to the exterior stairs of "Zuidpool". The garden layout features various gradients: directly to the south of the entrance section; to the south-west of the entrance section (between service trees and two red beeches); in the north-eastern corner where, among other things, a small mound is found. The farmhouse stands literally at the high point of the single-path garden. The path structure has a strongly winding character and offers changing views of the farmhouse, the moat and the surrounding spacious and flat agricultural grounds. The winding paths have been provided with forest sand since 2001-2002, the path parallel to the east gable of the farmhouse is covered with stone rubble. The beds, lawns and borders situated between the paths display circular forms and ovals, are lobed or kidney-shaped. On the north-west side a brick garden wall encloses the single-path garden, the boundary in the north-east runs to and including the rectangular sand path that surrounds the fruit trees.
