Omschrijving
Het verdiepingloos, onderkelderde POMPGEBOUW (1941-43, in een aan de Delftse School verwante architectuur) op rechthoekige plattegrond is opgetrokken in rode baksteen onder een samengestelde kap waarop zwarte opnieuw verbeterde Hollandse pannen; overkragende houten goot. De gevels worden geleed door staande vensters onder een strek en ronde vensters met rondom een rollaag, beide met ijzeren roedenverdeling.
Aan de voorgevel (westzijde) twee houten opgeklampte deuren onder een strek waarin centraal een rond venster en waarvoor een gemetselde stoep; in de top een rond venster.
Centraal in de noordgevel een risalerende topgevel waarin drie staande vensters en in de top een rond venster; ijzeren ladder. In de oostgevel een rond venster. In de zuidgevel drie staande en twee ronde vensters.
In het INTERIEUR zijn ondermeer van belang: de ijzeren spantconstructie, de twee compressoren en windketels en de drie pompen.
Waardering
Pompgebouw van algemeen belang vanwege cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde:
- als voorbeeld van een pompgebouw uit 1941-43 in de provincie Groningen waarin Delftse School elementen zijn te herkennen

Description
The single-storey, under-cellared PUMP HOUSE (1941-43, in an architecture related to the Delft School) on a rectangular plan is constructed in red brick under a composite roof with black newly improved Dutch tiles; overhanging wooden gutter. The facades are articulated by tall windows under a stretcher course and round windows with around them a roll moulding, both with iron glazing bars.
On the front facade (west side) two wooden bolted doors under a stretcher course with centrally a round window and before it a brick built step; at the top a round window.
Central in the north facade a projecting stepped gable with three tall windows and at the top a round window; iron ladder. In the east facade a round window. In the south facade three tall and two round windows.
In the INTERIOR are among others of importance: the iron roof truss structure, the two compressors and wind kettles and the three pumps.
Valuation
Pump house of general importance on account of cultural and architectural historical value:
- as an example of a pump house from 1941-43 in the province of Groningen in which Delft School elements are to be recognised
- on account of the sober design, detailing and material use
