Omschrijving onderdeel 1: HOOFDGEBOUW (Mataram).
Het uit machinale baksteen opgetrokken hoofdgebouw bestaat uit twee bouwvolumes: een jachthuis uit circa 1905 en een woonhuis uit circa 1910. Het verdiepingloze jachthuis is gebouwd op rechthoekige grondslag onder een met gesmoorde Oud-Hollandse pannen gedekt schilddak. Het aangebouwde tweelaagse woonhuis is gebouwd op rechthoekige grondslag onder een met gesmoorde Oud-Hollandse pannen gedekt wolfsdak. Het pand heeft daken met overstek, windveren, een goot op klossen en een gemetselde plint (trasraam afgesloten door een rollaag). Het jachthuis heeft aan de voorzijde een inpandig zuilenportiek gestut door geschoorde houten palen met rechts daarin een toegangsdeur met bovenlicht. De gevels zijn verder geleed door meerruits schuifvensters met luiken. Boven de vensters bevinden zich muurankers. Boven de goot op klossen zijn opgemetselde dakkapellen aangebracht onder een steekkapje met windveren en houten beschot. Het woonhuis heeft aan de voorzijde een asymmetrisch geplaatste dubbele toegangs(paneel)deur met achtruits bovenlicht met aan weerszijden daarvan vier ijzeren (half)zuilen die een balkon dragen, waar op de verdieping deuren op openen. De gevel is verder ingedeeld met direct rechts van de toegangsdeur een dubbele terrasdeur met bovenlicht en een vensteras met twee meerruits schuifvensters voorzien van persiennes, op de zolderverdieping een liggend venster van drie gekoppelde zesruits ramen. Oorspronkelijk bevond zich voor de toegangsdeur van het huis een breed bordes dat langs de zijgevel van het huis doorliep.
In het interieur is in het woonhuisgedeelte onder meer van belang het trappenhuis met trap, voorzien van een bewerkte trappaal en leuning; rechter voorkamer met grijsblauw marmeren schouw, houten mantel met snijwerk, spiegel en schoorsteenstuk in Lodewijk XV stijl en verder een stucplafond met midden- en hoekornamenten. Kamer links achter de trap heeft een stucplafond met vleermuis ornament en geprofileerde lijsten. Eenvoudige schouw van hardsteen. Gang belegd met marmeren en hardstenen platen. Slaapkamers op de verdieping.
In het jachthuisgedeelte rechts van de gang twee kamers met eenvoudige schouwen en stucplafond met middenstuk versierd met vruchten (kamer achter) en geprofileerde stuclijsten. Links van de gang keuken met schouw en vaste kast uit de bouwtijd.

Het HOOFDGEBOUW (Mataram),behorend tot de historische buitenplaats Mataram, is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang:

Description component 1: MAIN BUILDING (Mataram).
The main building constructed of machine-made brick consists of two building volumes: a hunting lodge from circa 1905 and a dwelling house from circa 1910. The single-storey hunting lodge is built on a rectangular ground plan under a hipped roof covered with dampened Old Dutch tiles. The adjoining two-storey dwelling house is built on a rectangular ground plan under a half-hipped roof covered with dampened Old Dutch tiles. The property has roofs with overhang, wind bracing, a gutter on corbels and a brick plinth (cement finishing sealed by a roll moulding). The hunting lodge has on the front side an internal columned portico supported by braced wooden posts with a door to the right bearing a fanlight. The facades are further articulated by multi-pane sash windows with shutters. Above the windows are ornamental wall anchors. Above the gutter on corbels are built-up roof dormers beneath a roof dormer with wind bracing and wooden panelling. The dwelling house has on the front side an asymmetrically placed double entrance (panel) door with three-pane fanlight with on either side of it four iron (half) columns carrying a balcony, upon which doors on the first floor open. The facade is further divided with immediately to the right of the entrance door a double terrace door with fanlight and a window section with two multi-pane sash windows fitted with venetian blinds, on the attic storey a horizontal window of three coupled six-pane windows. Originally there was a broad terrace before the entrance door of the house which extended along the side facade of the house.
In the interior, in the dwelling house section there is notably the stairwell with staircase, fitted with a worked stairpost and handrail; right front room with grey-blue marble fireplace, wooden mantelpiece with carved work, mirror and chimneypiece in Louis XV style and further a stucco ceiling with central and corner ornaments. Room to the left behind the staircase has a stucco ceiling with bat ornament and profiled mouldings. Simple fireplace of hardstone. Corridor paved with marble and hardstone slabs. Bedrooms on the first floor.
In the hunting lodge section to the right of the corridor two rooms with simple fireplaces and stucco ceiling with central section decorated with fruits (room behind) and profiled stucco mouldings. To the left of the corridor kitchen with fireplace and fixed cabinet from the building period.
