Omschrijving onderdeel 1
RUÏNES VAN HET KASTEEL ENGHUIZEN dat tussen 1835 en 1842 werd gebouwd van zandsteen en rode baksteen en als middelpunt fungeerde van de vrijwel gelijktijdig gerealiseerde parkaanleg. Tegen het omhooglopende talud van de oprijlaan liggen de restanten van het kasteel waarvan de omtrek en een klein gedeelte van de opbouw duidelijk herkenbaar in het terrein aanwezig zijn.
Waardering
De KASTEELRUÏNE ENGHUIZEN is van belang:
- wegens de ouderdom;

RUINS OF CASTLE ENGHUIZEN which was built between 1835 and 1842 of sandstone and red brick and served as the centrepiece of the landscape park realized at almost the same time. Against the rising slope of the drive the remains of the castle are situated, the outline and a small section of the superstructure of which are clearly recognizable in the terrain.
Valuation
The CASTLE RUIN ENGHUIZEN is of significance:

- as the centrepiece of the 19th-century landscape park laid out by H. van Lunteren;
