Inleiding
Voormalige BIOSCOOP in oorsprong genaamd Ceintuurtheater in de stijl van het expressionisme met kenmerken van de art deco in 1921-1922 gebouwd naar ontwerp van de architect W. Noorlander. De betonbouw is uitgevoerd door de n.v. Gewapend-Betonbouw 'De Kondor'.
N.B. Het gebouw heeft vernieuwde entreedeuren.
Omschrijving
In drie bouwlagen met teruggerooide toplaag opgetrokken voormalig bioscoopgebouw ter breedte van vijf traveeën over twaalf meter, onder een plat dak. De ruw gepleisterde betonnen voorgevel is plastisch vormgegeven waarbij het middendeel ter hoogte van de derde bouwlaag naar voren springt. De gevel heeft een brede middenpartij en twee smallere zijdelen. Het middendeel heeft boven de ingang een brede overspanning en een driehoekige uitsparing. Aan beide uiteinden van het middendeel bevinden zich, op de eerste verdieping, elk drie slanke konische elementen. In het midden, ter hoogte van de derde bouwlaag, bevinden zich tegen het overkragende deel drie cilindrische elementen met kleine ramen. Vanuit deze elementen grijpen langwerpige ornamenten in de dakrand. Hierboven is een wit gepleisterde attiek geplaatst met hoger opgetrokken middendeel. De rechthoekige schoorstenen op de hoeken van het middendeel hebben tegen de aanzetten, uitstekende blokken. Onder de dakrand bevindt zich in reliëf een golfslag met aan de onderrand verticale overnaadse vormen. De smalle, identieke zijdelen op plinthoogte hebben een harmonikavorm met daarop ruimte voor de aankondigingskasten. Aan de rechter zijde bevindt zich een signatuur van de architect. Boven de plint bevindt zich aan beide kanten een lamp van rijk bewerkt smeedijzer met de woorden 'Ceintuur' en 'Theater'. Een verticaal accent komt van de blokjes die van de lampen doorlopen naar de vlakken boven in de gevel. Van het interieur is het betonnen balkon behouden.

Description
Former cinema building erected in three storeys with recessed top storey, spanning five bays over twelve metres, under a flat roof. The roughly plastered concrete front facade is plastically formed with the central section projecting forward at the height of the third storey. The facade has a broad central section and two narrower side sections. The central section has a broad span above the entrance and a triangular recess. At both ends of the central section, on the first storey, are each three slender conical elements. In the middle, at the height of the third storey, are three cylindrical elements with small windows against the projecting section. From these elements, elongated ornaments extend into the roof edge. Above this is a white plastered attic with a higher middle section. The rectangular chimneys at the corners of the central section have protruding blocks at the bases. Under the roof edge is a wave pattern in relief with vertical overlapped forms at the lower edge. The narrow, identical side sections at plinth height have a corrugated form with space for announcement boards. On the right side is a signature of the architect. Above the plinth on both sides is a lamp of richly worked wrought iron with the words 'Ceintuur' and 'Theater'. A vertical accent comes from the small blocks that run from the lamps to the surfaces at the top of the facade. Of the interior, the concrete balcony has been retained.
