Naar ontwerp van P.L. Kramer uitgevoerd GEDENKTEKEN, centraal gelegen in een ovaal plantsoen ter herinnering aan L. van Buuren. Het bolvormige monument rust op een gedrongen en plastische natuurstenen piëdestal op dito kompasroos met letteraanduiding van de vier windstreken. Geheel op rondlopende convexe bestrating met klinkers. Tekst met letters in de trant van de Amsterdamse School op het bolvormige monument: 'L. van Buuren','Amsterd. pionier v. Volkshuisvesting','Voorz. ver. bouwmij. t.v.v. Eigen Woningen','Aangeboden door de leden 19 dec 1936'.

MEMORIAL designed by P.L. Kramer, centrally located in an oval green space in remembrance of L. van Buuren. The spherical monument rests on a squat and sculptural natural stone pedestal on a likewise compass rose with letter indication of the four compass points. Whole on continuous convex paving with clinker bricks. Text with letters in the manner of the Amsterdam School on the spherical monument: 'L. van Buuren', 'Amsterdam pioneer of Public Housing', 'Chairman assoc. building company for Own Dwellings', 'Presented by the members 19 dec 1936'.
Assessment
Memorial in remembrance of public housing pioneer L. van Buuren from 1936 of general importance for its social, cultural and art-historical and typological value, as well as for its ensemble value as a defining component of the Coöperatiehof complex.
