Door M.de Klerk en P.Kramer 1918-1923 gebouwd complex dat het pendant vormt van het blok Henriette Ronnerplein-Henriette Ronnerstraat-Talmastraat-Burg. Tellegenstraat-Pieter Lodewijk Takstraat. Voorbeeld van de "Amsterdamse School" stijl in haar meest levendige, irrationele fase, gekenmerkt door zuiver decoratieve golvingen en sprongen in de muurvlakken, onconstructieve dakvormen en een geheel aan het uitwendige effect ondergeschikte inwendige indeling; de vensters zijn van een karakteristieke horizontale roedenverdeling voorzien (slechts verwijderd in het blok W.Pastoorstraat 26-28). Zeer bewogen wanden, die door hun hellende sprongen, borstweringvormen, gepleisterde verbindingsstukken tussen venstergroepen en de op en neer gaande grens tussen rood en geel baksteenwerk een golfbeweging suggereren (P.L.Takstraat 8-26, Burg.Tellegenstraat 20-30) wisselen af met rustige (Burg.Tellegenstraat 14/W.Pastoorstraat 26-38,Th.Schwarzestraat 1-11 en 17-19 en Th.Schwarzeplein 1-11) of door zware trapeziumvormige topgevels gelede dakpartijen P.L.Takstraat 28-32, door hoogopgaande burchtachtige vormen P.L.Takstraat 2-6/Burg. Complex built by M. de Klerk and P. Kramer 1918-1923 that forms the pendant of the block Henriette Ronnerplein-Henriette Ronnerstraat-Talmastraat-Burg. Tellegenstraat-Pieter Lodewijk Takstraat. Example of the "Amsterdam School" style in its most lively, irrational phase, characterised by purely decorative undulations and jumps in the wall surfaces, unconstructive roof forms and a whole interior layout subordinate to external effect; the windows are provided with characteristic horizontal glazing bars (only removed in the block W. Pastoorstraat 26-28). Very animated walls, which by their slanting jumps, parapet forms, plastered connecting pieces between window groups and the up and down boundary between red and yellow brickwork suggest an undulating movement (P.L. Takstraat 8-26, Burg. Tellegenstraat 20-30) alternate with quiet ones (Burg. Tellegenstraat 14/W. Pastoorstraat 26-38, Th. Schwarzestraat 1-11 and 17-19 and Th. Schwarzeplein 1-11) or roof sections articulated by heavy trapezoidal gables P.L. Takstraat 28-32, by towering castle-like forms P.L. Takstraat 2-6/Burg. Tellegenstraat 32-36 (with very distinctive recessing stacked cylinders), Th. Schwarzestraat 13-15 (with zigzagging corbels in the brickwork) and W. Pastoorstraat corner Burg. Tellegenstraat and Burg. Tellegenstraat corner Th. Schwarzestraat, by a round "tower" with ship's prow-like windows Burg. Tellegenstraat 14-16 and by a villa-like sham roof against the facade Th. Schwarzeplein 13-15. On the corner of Th. Schwarzestraat and Th. Schwarzeplein a carved representation in relief.
