Inleiding
Twee hekpijlers aan de Garnizoenweg, aan de oostzijde van de Frederik Hendrikkazerne. De hekpijlers vormen de hoofdentree van de kazerne en zijn in 1913-1914 opgetrokken.

Twee identieke hekpijlers, elk bestaande uit een gemetselde rood-bakstenen sokkel afgedekt met een grijze, hardstenen plaat. Hierop verheft zich de gemetselde bakstenen hekpijler die wordt afgesloten met een grijze, hardstenen bekroning in de vorm van kantelen.
Waardering
De twee hekpijlers aan de Garnizoenweg, aan de oostzijde van de Frederik Hendrikkazerne, vertegenwoordigen algemeen belang wegens:

Two gate piers at the Garnizoenweg, on the east side of the Frederik Hendrikkazerne. The gate piers form the main entrance of the barracks and were erected in 1913-1914.

Two identical gate piers, each consisting of a mortared red-brick plinth capped with a grey, hardstone slab. Upon this rises the mortared brick gate pier which is finished with a grey, hardstone coping in the form of crenellations.
Valuation
The two gate piers at the Garnizoenweg, on the east side of the Frederik Hendrikkazerne, represent a matter of public interest on account of:
- their age;
- their characteristic marking as the main entrance of the Frederik Hendrikkazerne;
- their symbolic significance, namely as a gateway between civilian and military society;
