Inleiding
INCOMPLETE MOLEN. De als stellingmolen uitgevoerde achtkante molen met de naam 'De Jonge Gerrit' is in 1851 in opdracht van Gerrit van Voorde gebouwd als korenmolen. De molen is in 1932 onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis en de bovenas werden verwijderd. Later werden de staart en de stelling verwijderd. De incomplete molen kreeg een functie als mechanische maalderij en opslagruimte. Sinds 1982 is de functie woning. In 1994 werd tegen de noordzijde van de incomplete molen een aanbouw gebouwd, die buiten de werking van de monumentenwet valt. De incomplete molen ligt aan de Stationsstraat tegenover de Rooms-Katholieke kerk, aan de westzijde van de spoorlijn Zwolle-Deventer. De incomplete molen is ondanks zijn grote hoogte vanwege omliggende bebouwing vanaf de grond alleen zichtbaar vanaf de spoordijk vanuit het zuid-zuidoosten.
Omschrijving
De incomplete molen bestaat uit een gemetseld bakstenen onderachtkant met daarop een houten achtkant en kap. De uit zeven bouwlagen bestaande molen is vanaf het gemetselde onderachtkant tot de duisplanken bekleed met houten delen en gedekt met riet. Binnen zijn op verschillende plaatsen inscripties en restanten van het gaande werk aanwezig. Boven beide inritten is een sluitsteen aanwezig met daarop aangegeven respectievelijk het bouwjaar en de naam van de molen.
Waardering
De incomplete molen is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een houten achtkante korenmolen uit het midden van de 19e eeuw;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als onderdeel van de geschiedenis van de graanmaalderijen van Nederland en de industriële ontwikkeling van Overijssel en de plaatselijke geschiedenis.

INCOMPLETE MILL. The octagonal mill executed as a strutting mill with the name 'De Jonge Gerrit' was built in 1851 on the commission of Gerrit van Voorde as a grain mill. The mill was dismantled in 1932, whereby the sail cross and the main shaft were removed. Later the tail and the strutting were removed. The incomplete mill was given a function as a mechanical mill and storage space. Since 1982 the function has been residential. In 1994 an annex was built against the north side of the incomplete mill, which falls outside the scope of the Monuments Act. The incomplete mill is situated on the Stationsstraat opposite the Roman Catholic church, on the west side of the Zwolle-Deventer railway line. The incomplete mill, despite its great height, is only visible from ground level due to the surrounding buildings from the railway embankment from the south-south-east.
Description
The incomplete mill consists of a masonry brick underoctagon with upon it a wooden octagon and cap. The mill, consisting of seven storeys, is from the masonry underoctagon to the dust boards clad with wooden parts and covered with thatch. Inside there are inscriptions and remains of the running gear at various places. Above both entrances there is a voussoir bearing respectively the building year and the name of the mill.

The incomplete mill is of general importance:
