Inleiding
INCOMPLETE MOLEN. De als stellingmolen uitgevoerde ronde stenen molen is in 1873 gebouwd als korenmolen. De molen is omstreeks 1935 onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis, de kap, de stelling en een groot deel van het gaande werk werden verwijderd. De incomplete molen heeft thans een functie als opslagruimte en als autostalling. De incomplete molen ligt op een verhoging en is op de begane grond voor driekwart rondom uitgebreid met aanbouwen. De aanbouwen van de molen vallen buiten de werking van de Monumentenwet. De incomplete molen is zichtbaar in de omgeving.
Omschrijving
De incomplete molen bestaat uit de ronde conisch gemetselde bakstenen romp met vijf bouwlagen welke is voorzien van een plat dak. Op meerdere plaatsen zijn restanten van het gaande werk aanwezig, nl.: twee koppels stenen incl. ringhout, rijnen en bolspillen, een steenschijf met spil, het windluiwerk met gaffelrad en een motorluiwerk.
Waardering
De incomplete molen is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een ronde stenen korenmolen uit de tweede helft van de 19e eeuw;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als onderdeel van de geschiedenis van de graanmaalderijen van Nederland en de industriële ontwikkeling van Noord-Brabant en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;
- vanwege situationele waarden betreffende de historische gaafheid van de omgeving;
- vanwege de gaafheid van de molenbiotoop.

INCOMPLETE MILL. The round stone mill executed as a post mill was built in 1873 as a corn mill. The mill was dismantled around 1935, whereby the sail cross, the cap, the post and a large part of the working parts were removed. The incomplete mill now has a function as storage space and as a car park. The incomplete mill is situated on a raised area and is extended on the ground floor for three-quarters around with annexes. The annexes of the mill fall outside the scope of the Heritage Act. The incomplete mill is visible in the surroundings.
Description
The incomplete mill consists of the round conically mortared brick body with five storeys which is provided with a flat roof. On several locations there are remains of the working parts, namely: two pairs of stones including ring wood, threads and pivot pins, a stone disc with spindle, the wind gear with bevel wheel and a motor gear.
Valuation
The incomplete mill is of general importance:
- on account of structural-historical values as a recognizable and representative relic of a round stone corn mill from the second half of the 19th century;
- on account of cultural-historical values as part of the history of grain mills in the Netherlands and the industrial development of North Brabant and local history;
- on account of situational values concerning the historical integrity of the surroundings;
- on account of the integrity of the mill biotope.
