Omschrijving onderdeel 5: ORNAMENTELE SOKKEL behorende tot de buitenplaats Eerde.
Centraal op het voorplein staat op een ornamentele, hardstenen sokkel (XVIIIc/XIXcd) het restant van een zonnewijzer (XXd). De weelderig vormgegeven, naar onderen uitbuikende sokkel heeft een vierkante plattegrond met afgeschuinde, ronde hoeken en is rijk gedecoreerd met régence-snijwerk (bloem- en bladwerk, voluten). De sokkel dateert uit het midden van de 18de eeuw of uit het einde van de 19de eeuw (régence of neo-régence).

De ORNAMENTELE SOKKEL behorende tot de buitenplaats Eerde is van algemeen belang:

Description component 5: ORNAMENTAL PLINTH belonging to the country seat Eerde.
Centrally on the forecourt stands on an ornamental, stone plinth (third quarter 18th century / turn of 19th century) the remnant of a sundial (last quarter 20th century). The lavishly designed plinth, bulging outward at the bottom, has a square floor plan with bevelled, rounded corners and is richly decorated with régence carving (floral and foliage work, scrolls). The plinth dates from the middle of the 18th century or from the end of the 19th century (régence or neo-régence).
Valuation
The ORNAMENTAL PLINTH belonging to the country seat Eerde is of general importance:
