Inleiding
MOLENROMP MET AANBOUW. De ronde stenen molen is in 1859 gebouwd als korenmolen. De molen is later uitgebreid met een aanbouw met daarin een mechanische maalderij. De molen is omstreeks 1925 onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis, de kap, de stelling en het gaande werk werden verwijderd. De molenromp met aanbouw heeft thans een functie als opslagruimte en ligt bij de kom van het dorp, vlakbij de grens met België. De molenromp heeft een beduidende landschappelijke functie in een open omgeving.
Omschrijving
De molenromp bestaat uit de ronde conisch gemetselde bakstenen romp met aangebouwde mechanische maalderij. De molenromp bestaat uit vijf bouwlagen. De aanbouw is voorzien van een zadeldak. In de molenromp met aanbouw zijn verschillende restanten van de mechanische maalderij aanwezig.
Waardering
De molenromp met mechanische maalderij is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een ronde stenen korenmolen uit het midden van de 19e eeuw;

MILL BODY WITH EXTENSION. The round stone mill was built in 1859 as a corn mill. The mill was later extended with an extension containing a mechanical mill. The mill was dismantled circa 1925, during which the sails, cap, frame and machinery were removed.
