Omschrijving
KUNSTMATIGE WATERVAL MET STUW IN DE GULP. Ten zuiden van het kasteel is in de Gulp een kunstmatige waterval aangebracht, een trapsgewijze structuur van blokken natuursteen, min of meer in de vorm van een halve cirkel. In het centrum een waterdoorlaatpunt, hierboven is een mechanisch te bedienen waterschuif geplaatst. Op de linkeroever staat een metalen draaimechanisme. Datering: eerste helft 19de eeuw.

De KUNSTMATIGE WATERVAL IN DE GULP heeft algemeen belang want het object:

ARTIFICIAL WATERFALL WITH WEIR IN THE GULP. South of the castle, an artificial waterfall has been constructed in the Gulp, a stepped structure of natural stone blocks, roughly in the form of a semicircle. At the centre a water opening point, above which a mechanically operated water gate has been installed. On the left bank stands a metal rotating mechanism. Dating: first half 19th century.
