Inleiding
MOLENROMP MET PAKHUIS. De destijds als stellingmolen gebouwde achtkante bovenkruier met de naam 'Dorthermolen' is vermoedelijk in het midden van de 19e eeuw gebouwd en was ingericht als koren- en pelmolen. Later werd de molen aan de zuid-zuidwestkant uitgebreid met een rechthoekig bakstenen pakhuis waarin tevens een mechanisch gedreven koppel maalstenen werd geplaatst. De stelling is in 1947 verwijderd. De molen is na 1954 onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis, de kap, de romp tot de hoogte van het voormalige spoorwiel en het gaande werk werden verwijderd. De molenromp met pakhuis kreeg toen een functie als opslagruimte, maar is thans in gebruik als woning. Hij ligt in een open omgeving.
Omschrijving
De molenromp bestaat uit een achtkante gemetselde bakstenen romp en een aangebouwd gemetseld bakstenen pakhuis met een rechthoekige plattegrond. De molenromp is op zeven hoeken van zware hellende steunberen voorzien welke reiken tot de voormalige stellingzolder. De uit drie bouwlagen bestaande romp is vanaf de eerste verdieping bekleed met potdekselwerk van houten delen en is voorzien van een plat dak met daarop een dakterras. Rondom het platte dak is een dichte houten borstwering aanwezig. Het uit twee bouwlagen bestaande pakhuis is voorzien van een vlak liggend dak. In de molenromp, die voorzien is van twee inritten, zijn verschillende bouwsporen van de voormalige inrichting aanwezig.
Waardering
De molenromp met pakhuis is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een stenen achtkante koren- en pelmolen met een aangebouwd stenen pakhuis dat tevens plaats bood aan een mechanisch aangedreven koppel maalstenen;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als onderdeel van de geschiedenis van de graanmaalderijen van Nederland en de industriële ontwikkeling van Overijssel en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;
- vanwege ensemblewaarden van de molenromp en het pakhuis;
- vanwege situationele waarden betreffende het buurtschap waar hij in staat en de historische gaafheid van de omgeving;

MILL SHELL WITH WAREHOUSE. The octagonal cap mill with the name 'Dorthermolen', originally built as a post mill, was presumably built in the middle of the 19th century and was fitted out as a grain and hulling mill. Later the mill was extended on the south-southwestern side with a rectangular brick warehouse in which a mechanically driven pair of millstones was also placed. The post was removed in 1947. The mill was dismantled after 1954, whereby the windmill sails, the roof, the shell to the height of the former main gear wheel and the driving machinery were removed. The mill shell with warehouse then received a function as storage space, but is currently in use as a residence. It stands in an open setting.
Description
The mill shell consists of an octagonal masonry brick shell and an adjoining masonry brick warehouse with a rectangular ground plan. The mill shell is provided on seven corners with heavy slanting buttresses which reach to the former post floor. The shell, consisting of three storeys, is clad from the first floor upward with roof-tile work of wooden parts and is provided with a flat roof with a roof terrace above it. Around the flat roof is a solid wooden parapet. The warehouse, consisting of two storeys, is provided with a flat roof. In the mill shell, which is provided with two entrances, there are various building traces of the former fittings.

The mill shell with warehouse is of general importance:
- because of its building-historical values as a recognizable and representative relic of a stone octagonal grain and hulling mill with an adjoining stone warehouse that also provided space for a mechanically driven pair of millstones;
- because of cultural-historical values as part of the history of grain mills of the Netherlands and the industrial development of Overijssel and local history;
- because of ensemble values of the mill shell and the warehouse;
- because of situational values concerning the hamlet where it stands and the historical integrity of the surroundings;
