Omschrijving onderdeel 7: IJSKELDER.
IJSKELDER, waarschijnlijk uit de eerste helft van de 19de eeuw. De ijskelder bevindt zich ten zuidwesten van het hoofdhuis, gelegen naast het weiland in de bocht van de waterloop die zich vanaf de Diependaalsedijk in een kronkelend verloop over het buiten tenslotte in de Vecht afwatert. De met bomen en struiken begroeide heuvel bevat een van het hoofdhuis afgekeerde gemetselde halfronde afgesloten toegang. Hierop sluit een van een tongewelf voorziene gang aan die na een bocht in een gemetselde ronde, koepelvormige ruimte in het hart van de heuvel uitkomt. De ruimte voor de ijsopslag is bereikbaar via een oplopend trapje en bevindt zich in wezen boven vloerniveau.
De ijskelder is in de jaren tachtig van de 20ste eeuw door vrijwilligers opgeknapt en van een nieuw toegangshek en, als afsluiting van de opslagruimte, van een houten deur voorzien welke beide voor de bescherming van ondergeschikt belang zijn.

Description
Description component 7: ICE CELLAR.
ICE CELLAR, probably from the first half of the 19th century. The ice cellar is situated to the south-west of the main house, located next to the meadow in the bend of the watercourse which flows from the Diependaalsedijk in a winding course over the estate and finally into the Vecht. The hillock covered with trees and shrubs contains a masonry half-round entrance facing away from the main house. To this adjoins a passage provided with a barrel vault which after a bend leads into a masonry round, dome-shaped chamber in the heart of the hillock. The space for ice storage is accessible via an ascending flight of steps and is essentially located above floor level.
The ice cellar was restored in the 1980s by volunteers and provided with a new entrance gate and, as closure of the storage space, with a wooden door, both of which are of secondary importance for the protection.
