SOKKEL
Hardstenen 19de-eeuwse SOKKEL, thans staande noordwestelijk van de oranjerie. De vierkante sokkel bestaat uit een blok met zgn. kussen voorzien aan elke zijde van gelijke versieringen met rocaille-motieven. Oorspronkelijk stond de sokkel op een hoog 'lijf' met naar binnen zwenkende zijden, met daarop een vaas.

SOKKEL behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Sterkenburg, van algemeen belang: - vanwege de ouderdom; - vanwege materiaalgebruik en vormgeving; - vanwege ornamentele waarden; - als karakteristiek onderdeel van de buitenplaats.

PLINTH
19th-century sandstone PLINTH, now standing northwest of the orangery. The square plinth consists of a block with so-called cushion provided on each side with equal decorations with rocaille motifs. Originally the plinth stood on a high 'shaft' with sides slanting inward, with an urn on top.
