Voormalige BOERDERIJ in Eclectische stijl, deel uitmakend van het COMPLEX 'Bergwijck'.
Omschrijving
Boerderij opgetrokken op een T-vormige plattegrond bestaande uit een begane grond - en kapverdieping. De boerderij is gedeeltelijk onderkelderd. Aan de zuidelijke lange gevel bevindt zich een driezijdige uitbouw van één bouwlaag. De boerderij is opgetrokken in baksteen, waarbij de gevels van het oorspronkelijke woonhuisgedeelte - inclusief de driezijdige uitbouw - zijn gestuct. Het stucwerk van de voorgevel en de hoeken van de zijgevels is, boven een gladde plint en cordonlijst, voorzien van geblokte schijnvoegen. Ook ter hoogte van de kapverdieping bevindt zich een cordonlijst. De boerderij heeft zadeldaken, gedekt met pannen. Het dak van het oorspronkelijke woonhuis is aan de oost- en westzijde afgewerkt met gesneden windveren. De voorgevel is symmetrisch opgebouwd met in het midden de voordeur, een paneeldeur met glazen bovenlicht met smeedijzeren decoratie. Voor de deur bevindt zich een lage natuurstenen stoep, geflankeerd door hardstenen obeliskvormige paaltjes met sobere decoratie. Aan weerszijden van de deur twee schuifvensters met zesruitsverdeling. Deur en vensters zijn gevat in geprofileerde omlijstingen. Het rechter geveldeel bevat onder de schuifvensters tevens twee getoogde, tweeledige keldervensters. De noordelijke zijgevel van het (oorspronkelijke) woonhuis bevat ter hoogte van de begane grond twee vensteromlijstingen conform in de voorgevel, doch zonder vensters. Ter hoogte van de verdieping bevindt zich een drielichtvenster. De zuidelijke zijgevel van het woonhuis is identiek ingedeeld en bevat wel zesruits schuifvensters op de begane grond. Tussen deze vensters is een gevelsteen aangebracht met de tekst: 'De Eerste Steen gelegd door W.A. Dogterom oud 5 jaar den 18 junij 1859'. Links, in het verlengde van deze zijgevel bevindt zich een bouwvolume van een bouwlaag dat de overgang vormt tot de driezijdige uitbouw. Hier bevindt zich een deur met rechthoekig venster voorzien van siertraliewerk met in het centrum een medaillon met vrouwenkop en bladmotieven. Boven de deur een bovenlicht. De geprofileerde deuromlijsting is licht getoogd. De driezijdige uitbouw bevat in iedere zijde een zesruits schuifvenster conform de eerder beschreven vensters, met heel licht getoogde geprofileerde omlijstingen. De gevels zijn voorzien van een geprofileerde kroonlijst. Het oorspronkelijke boerderijgedeelte is zeer eenvoudig, opgetrokken in baksteen, met muurankers ter hoogte van de kapverdieping. De zijgevels bevatten enkele halfronde stalen roosvensters en eenvoudige deuren. De kopse achtergevel heeft een nieuwe indeling gekregen. Alleen de halfronde roosvensters ter hoogte van de kapverdieping zijn oorspronkelijk.

Description
Farmhouse constructed on a T-shaped floor plan consisting of a ground storey and a roof space storey. The farmhouse is partly cellared. On the southern long elevation is a three-sided outbuilding of one storey. The farmhouse is constructed in brick, with the facades of the original residential part - including the three-sided outbuilding - rendered. The stuccowork of the front elevation and the corners of the side elevations is, above a smooth plinth and string course, provided with ruled ashlar-effect. Also at the level of the roof space storey is a string course. The farmhouse has gabled roofs, covered with tiles. The roof of the original residence is finished on the east and west sides with carved wind braces. The front elevation is symmetrically arranged with in the centre the front door, a panel door with glazed fanlight with wrought-iron decoration. In front of the door is a low natural stone step, flanked by hardstone obelisk-shaped bollards with sober decoration. On either side of the door two sash windows with six-pane glazing. Door and windows are set in moulded surrounds. The right facade section contains beneath the sash windows also two arched, two-part cellar windows. The northern side elevation of the (original) residential part contains at ground level two window surrounds as in the front elevation, but without windows. At the level of the storey is a three-light window. The southern side elevation of the residence is identically arranged and contains six-pane sash windows at ground level. Between these windows is a building stone set with the text: 'The First Stone laid by W.A. Dogterom aged 5 years the 18th of June 1859'. To the left, in the continuation of this side elevation is a building volume of one storey that forms the transition to the three-sided outbuilding. Here is a door with a rectangular window provided with decorative grille with in the centre a medallion with female head and leaf motifs. Above the door a fanlight. The moulded door surround is slightly arched. The three-sided outbuilding contains in each side a six-pane sash window in accordance with the previously described windows, with very slightly arched moulded surrounds. The facades are provided with a moulded cornice. The original farmhouse section is very simple, constructed in brick, with wall anchors at the level of the roof space storey. The side elevations contain several semicircular steel grille windows and simple doors. The end rear elevation has received a new arrangement. Only the semicircular grille windows at the level of the roof space storey are original.

Farmhouse from 1859, part of the complex 'Bergwijck', of general importance by virtue of cultural and architectural-historical, typological and ensemble value, as well as on account of its situational and image-defining value within the pre-urban character of the linear ribbon development along the Grindweg.
