Omschrijving
De RK St. Josephkerk vanwege het tweeklaviers orgel met vrij pedaal dat omstreeks 1873 vervaardigd werd door de Duitse orgelmaker Friedrich Meyer voor de Johanneskirche in Barmen (D). In 1920 werd het geplaatst in de Josephkerk door Elbertse. Deze wijzigde het orgel in 1926.
Waardering
Het orgel in de St. Josephkerk is het enige orgel van de orgelmaker Meyer in ons land. Het instrument is een goed voorbeeld van de Westfaalse orgelbouw uit de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw. Het is bovendien een van de weinige bewaard gebleven orgels van deze orgelmaker die tussen 1858 en 1891 ruim 80 instrumenten maakte. Van het orgel is circa 95% van het pijpwerk gaaf bewaard gebleven alsmede de orgelkas, windvoorziening, windladen, klaviatuur en mechanieken.

Description
The RK St. Josephkerk by virtue of the two-manual organ with free pedal that was manufactured around 1873 by the German organ builder Friedrich Meyer for the Johanneskirche in Barmen (D). In 1920 it was installed in the Josephkerk by Elbertse. He modified the organ in 1926.
Valuation
The organ in the St. Josephkerk is the only organ by the organ builder Meyer in our country. The instrument is a good example of Westphalian organ building from the second half of the nineteenth century. Moreover, it is one of the few surviving organs by this organ builder who made approximately 80 instruments between 1858 and 1891. Approximately 95% of the organ pipework has been preserved intact as well as the organ case, wind supply, wind chests, keyboard and mechanisms.
