Omschrijving onderdeel 5: TOEGANGSHEK EN BRUG AAN OPRIT.
In de jaren '70 van de 20ste eeuw naar de huidige plek van de toendertijd ingekorte toegangslaan verplaatst toegangshek en brug uit de tweede helft van de 18de eeuw. De brug werd geplaatst in de tijd van Jan Jacob de Geer van Rijnhuizen, die in 1773 Oudegein verwierf. Aan de NO-hoek van het park gelegen rode bakstenen toegangsbrug, naar de walkanten kwartcirkelvormig uitzwenkend, met siersmeedijzeren balustrade op hardstenen afdekplaat. Description component 5: ACCESS GATE AND BRIDGE AT APPROACH.
In the 1970s relocated to the then shortened access lane from its original location, access gate and bridge from the second half of the 18th century. The bridge was placed at the time of Jan Jacob de Geer van Rijnhuizen, who acquired Oudegein in 1773. Located at the NE corner of the park, a red brick access bridge, curving outward in a quarter-circle towards the embankment sides, with decorative wrought-iron balustrade on hard stone coping. Approximately one quarter of the bridge's length from this point, a monumental entrance gate consisting of two hard stone block piers on profiled outswinging feet and under a profiled closing piece that also serves as a pedestal for two heraldic lions originally bearing the coats of arms of Van Haeften and De Geer. When the gate was relocated to its current location, the owner Mr. L.E. de Geer had the coat of arms of Van Haeften overpainted and changed to the coat of arms of his wife Mrs Röell. Between the piers a double decorative wrought-iron gate, closed off at the top by a volute.
