Inleiding
De voorhof van het kasteel, tegenover de hoofdingang gelegen en geheel omgracht, bestaat uit restanten van de voorburcht van kasteel Cortenbach, XV-XVI, en uit schansmuren.
Omschrijving
De VOORHOF voor het kasteel bestaat uit omlopende schansmuren van bak- en natuursteen met op de twee hoeken tegenover de hofboerderij restanten van twee bouwhuizen.
Het restant van het noordelijke bouwhuis bestaat uit een stuk muur en uit een ronde toren, opgetrokken in Kunrader steen en voorzien van een ingesnoerde, met leien gedekte spits. Schietgaten.
Het restant van het zuidelijke bouwhuis bestaat uit een klein gebouw waarin een bakoven en een toren vergelijkbaar met de noordelijke toren. Hierin een gewelf met zware rechthoekige ribben. Naast de ingang een hardstenen bouwfragment met wapens en profilering.

The FRONT COURTYARD before the castle consists of surrounding scarp walls of brick and natural stone with at the two corners opposite the farmhouse remains of two bawdry towers.
The remain of the northern bawdry tower consists of a section of wall and of a round tower, constructed in Kunrader stone and provided with a waisted, slate-covered spire. Gun loops.
The remain of the southern bawdry tower consists of a small building containing a baking oven and a tower comparable to the northern tower. Within it a vault with heavy rectangular ribs. Beside the entrance a hard stone building fragment with coats of arms and moulding.
