Inleiding
OMGRACHTING, oorspronkelijk deel uitmakend van het grotendeels verdwenen kasteel Herlaer. De omgrachting dateert in oorsprong uit XIV-XV en wordt gemarkeerd door hoog geboomte.
Omschrijving
De omgrachting, waarbinnen zich de boerderij Out-Herlaer bevindt, wordt ontsloten door een lange toegangsweg die haaks op de openbare weg door de polder ligt. Ze bestaat uit een onregelmatige cirkelvormige, meestentijds droge gracht, en een laatstelijk in 1999 verhoogde aarden wal. Het geheel ligt vrij in de weilanden, op de wal staat een zestal forse linden.
