Inleiding
Vrijliggend BOUWBLOK (D) van het Patrimoniumcomplex gelegen aan de oostzijde van een plantsoen tussen de buitenring aan de Hembrugstraat en de poort van de binnenring die toegang geeft tot de Zaanhof. Het blok in Rationalistische trant stamt uit de jaren 1918-1919.
Omschrijving
Het kleine bouwblok D met drie woningen op een samengestelde plattegrond, is opgetrokken in baksteen (kruisverband) en heeft drie bouwlagen onder een met leien gedekt geknikt tentdak met een centraal geplaatste schoorsteen. Aan de voorzijde grijpt een door een uitgemetselde console gedragen erker gedeeltelijk in het dakschild. In de voorgevel komt rechts een uitgebouwde meerhoekige hoektoren voor met tentdak waarop een piron.
De voorgevel aan het plantsoen heeft drie traveeën waarvan de linker uit samengestelde vensters en genoemde erker bestaat. De middelste travee bevat de voordeur onder een afdak, een smal venster op de verdieping en daarboven, een (dichtgezet) ovaal venster. De hoektoren rechts heeft aan de voorzijde een voordeur en op de verdiepingen één respectievelijk twee smalle traplichten. De stompe hoeken van de zijden van de toren zijn voorzien van overhoeks getand metselwerk. De rechter zijgevel heeft smalle traplichten in de toren en één vensteras met twee smalle vensters daarnaast. De achtergevel heeft gemetselde balkons op getrapte consoles en drie traveeën. De andere zijgevel bevat in elk van de drie bouwlagen een venster. Waardering
Het vrijliggende bouwblok (D) van het Patrimoniumcomplex is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als beeldbepalend en historisch-functioneel voorbeeld van grootstedelijke arbeiderswoningbouw uit de beginjaren van de twintigste eeuw, alsmede vanwege ensemblewaarde in relatie met de naburige bebouwing.

Detached BUILDING BLOCK (D) of the Patrimonium complex located on the east side of a plantation between the outer ring at the Hembrugstraat and the gate of the inner ring which provides access to the Zaanhof. The block in Rationalist style dates from 1918-1919.

The small building block D with three dwellings on a composite plan, is constructed in brick (stretcher bond) and has three storeys under a slated bent pyramid roof with a centrally placed chimney. At the front an erker (bay window) carried by a mortared console partially engages the roof slope. In the front facade there appears on the right an extended multi-sided corner tower with pyramid roof topped by a finial.
The front facade at the plantation has three bays of which the left consists of composite windows and the aforementioned bay window. The middle bay contains the front door under a canopy, a narrow window on the storey and above it, a (blocked up) oval window. The squat corner tower to the right has on the front a front door and on the storeys one respectively two narrow stair lights. The blunt corners of the sides of the tower are provided with diagonally toothed brickwork. The right side facade has narrow stair lights in the tower and one window axis with two narrow windows beside it. The rear facade has mortared balconies on stepped consoles and three bays. The other side facade contains in each of the three storeys a window.
Valuation
The detached building block (D) of the Patrimonium complex is of general importance due to its cultural and architectural-historical value as a characteristic and historically-functional example of large-scale working-class housing construction from the early years of the twentieth century, as well as due to ensemble value in relation to the neighbouring buildings.
