Het noordelijke woonblok op U-vormig grondplan bestaat uit 38 gestapelde woningen en heeft een begane grond, een verdieping en een kapverdieping. Het poortgebouw heeft een extra verdieping. De bakstenen gevels zijn voorzien van een reeks wit gepleisterde puntgevels, die steeds dubbel boven het woongedeelte zijn aangebracht met een rechte lijst boven de gekoppelde portiekbogen, gescheiden door een gemetselde kolom. In het portiek erachter bevinden zich drie toegangsdeuren die de begane grond en de verdiepingen ontsluiten. De gemetselde gevels hebben siermetselwerk bij banden en vierkante blokmotieven. De langgerekte schilddaken zijn voorzien van rode dakpannen. De ramen hebben een driedeling, boven de middendorpel oorspronkelijk een 3x3 ruits-verdeling. Bij de hoger opgetrokken poortbebouwing zijn de bovenste twee verdiepingen gepleisterd, evenals de bovenzijde van de hoektorens. De schilddaken en de tentdaken van de torens zijn voorzien van rode dakpannen. De toegangspoorten zijn geaccentueerd door erkers op de verdiepingen. De noordelijk en de zuidelijk gelegen poortgebouwen zijn identiek, voorzien van een tuitgevel. De drie poortgebouwen aan de zijde van de Zaanstraat zijn zonder torens en voorzien van enkele en dubbele tuitgevels. Een poort (N-poort) bestaat uit een centrale boog. Gevelstenen zijn in de gevels van het poortgebouw aangebracht en uitgevoerd in geglazuurde gekleurde tegels met naam en bouwjaar.

The northern residential block on a U-shaped ground plan consists of 38 stacked dwellings and has a ground floor, one storey and a roof storey. The gate building has an additional storey. The brick facades are provided with a series of white plastered pointed gables, which are always applied double above the residential section with a straight cornice above the coupled portico arches, separated by a brick column. In the portico behind are three access doors which provide access to the ground floor and the storeys. The brick facades have decorative brickwork at bands and square block motifs. The elongated hipped roofs are provided with red roof tiles. The windows have a three-part division, above the middle mullion originally a 3x3 pane division. With the more elevated gate structures, the upper two storeys are plastered, as is the top of the corner towers. The hipped roofs and the pyramidal roofs of the towers are provided with red roof tiles. The access gates are accentuated by bay windows on the storeys. The northern and southern gate buildings are identical, provided with a spout gable. The three gate buildings on the Zaanstraat side are without towers and provided with single and double spout gables. One gate (N-gate) consists of a central arch. Facade stones are applied in the facades of the gate building and executed in glazed coloured tiles with name and construction year.
