Omschrijving
DAM met PIJLERS, negentiende eeuw. De brede dam met bakstenen, deels gecementeerde wangen verbindt het grasvoorplein met de weide, die direct naast de boomgaard en de grote voormalige moestuin ligt. In het midden op de wangen staan twee achtkantige hardstenen pijlers, met platte bovenkant met facetgeslepen rand en in lood gevatte ijzeren pennen. In enkele van de acht zijden zijn sleuven en ronde gaten gehakt van verschillend formaat, waarvan de oorspronkelijke functie niet duidelijk is. Elke pijler heeft twee duimen, maar er zijn geen hekvleugels (meer).

Description
DAM with PILLARS, nineteenth century. The broad dam with brick, partly cemented cheeks connects the grass forecourt with the meadow, which lies directly beside the orchard and the large former kitchen garden. In the middle on the cheeks stand two octagonal ashlar pillars, with flat top with facet-cut edge and iron pegs set in lead. In some of the eight sides grooves and round holes of varying size have been cut, the original function of which is unclear. Each pillar has two thumbs, but there are no gate wings (any more).
