Omschrijving onderdeel 2: HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG.
De buitenplaats is te onderscheiden in de huisplaats met achter het huis een kleinschalige aanleg in landschapsstijl en een overtuin met zichtas (servituut) naar De Leede. Deze indeling is in 1865 tot stand gekomen. Oorspronkelijk stond het huis in de huidige overtuin, eveneens met vrij zicht over De Leede, en lagen achter het oude huis de nutstuinen, waaraan thans de tuinmuur herinnert, en daarachter het parkbos (zie Topografische Militaire Kaart 1914), dat plaats heeft moeten maken voor woningen en tuinbouw. Vóór het huis aan de straatzijde liggen een tot rechthoekige vijver (aan één zijde gebogen) vergraven sloot, een grasstrook en een brede oprit. Rond 1934 werd tussen de oprit en de grasstrook een bakstenen keermuur met trapje gemetseld, aan weerszijden van de trap werden tuinvazen geplaatst afkomstig van het balkon van het hoofdgebouw en waarschijnlijk zijn toen ook de rododendrons aan weerszijden aangeplant. Op oude foto's uit het einde van de negentiende eeuw en begin twintigste eeuw is te zien dat de aanleg voor het huis zich beperkte tot de vergraven sloot, een smalle grasstrook met perk en de oprit. Achter het huis een gazon met solitairen (waaronder een moerascipres), aan de noordwestzijde begrensd door een opgeworpen wal; rechts van het huis een tot slingerende vijver vergraven sloot; in de noordoosthoek staan een oranjerie en een oude vervallen kas; links van het huis een tennisbaan van gravel uit 1934, daarachter een stookhuisje en enkele vervallen kassen. In de overtuin een gazon met rondgaand pad (zie ook oude foto's) en enkele bomen uit ca.1820 (plataan, beuk en kastanje). Op de zichtas rust een servituut uit 1910.
Waardering
De HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom;
- vanwege de kleinschalige aanleg in landschapsstijl;
- vanwege de eenheid van huis en overtuin met vrij doorzicht naar De Leede;

Description of component 2: HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT.
The country estate can be distinguished into the house plot with behind the house a small-scale layout in landscape style and a pleasure garden with sight axis (servitude) towards De Leede. This layout was established in 1865. Originally the house stood in the current pleasure garden, likewise with clear views over De Leede, and behind the old house lay the utility gardens, of which the garden wall now remains, and behind that the park wood (see Topographic Military Map 1914), which had to give way to houses and horticulture. In front of the house on the street side lies a ditch dug into a rectangular pond (curved on one side), a grass strip and a broad drive. Around 1934 a brick retaining wall with steps was laid between the drive and the grass strip, garden vases removed from the balcony of the main building were placed on either side of the stairs and it is likely that the rhododendrons were also planted on either side at that time. In old photographs from the end of the nineteenth century and early twentieth century it can be seen that the layout in front of the house was limited to the dug-out ditch, a narrow grass strip with border and the drive. Behind the house a lawn with specimen trees (including a marsh cypress), bounded on the northwest side by a raised bank; to the right of the house a ditch dug into a meandering pond; in the northeast corner stands an orangery and an old dilapidated greenhouse; to the left of the house a gravel tennis court from 1934, behind it a heating house and some dilapidated greenhouses. In the pleasure garden a lawn with perimeter path (see also old photographs) and some trees from c.1820 (plane, beech and chestnut). The sight axis is subject to a servitude from 1910.
