De tuinaanleg in 1922 van De Hartel, gerealiseerd op een kunstmatige verhoging rond het landhuis en ontworpen door de tuinarchitect H. Roeters van Lennep.
Omschrijving
De tuinaanleg bestaat uit de directe omgeving van het huis en wordt gevormd door de verschillende keermuren, hagen, terrassen, paden en trappen op danwel nabij de kunstmatige verhoging waarop het huis zich bevindt.
De belangrijkste materialen zijn flagstones (rode Weser) en baksteen.
De aanleg vormt enerzijds, bijvoorbeeld door de as naar de hoofdingang van het huis, een benadrukking van de architectuur. Anderzijds is de aanleg, bijvoorbeeld door zichtlijnen, afgestemd op de wijde omgeving van het huis.
