Omschrijving onderdeel 2: HISTORISCHE PARK- EN TUINAANLEG.
De aanleg strekt zich uit over de volle lengte en breedte van het lange, smalle perceel. Deze vorm, inclusief de scheisloten is de oorspronkelijke ontginningsaanleg. Aan de westzijde bevindt zich het ensemble van hoofdhuis met koetshuis en oranjerie. Ten noorden daarvan bevindt zich de voormalige moestuin, nog herkenbaar aan de slingermuren, maar thans op een klein stukje na niet meer als zodanig in gebruik. Direct achter het huis bevindt zich een enigszins verdiept gazon met enkele boomgroepen. Belangrijk is hier het stelsel van zichtassen naar onder meer het tuinhuis, een grote solitaire beuk, de Brede Laan en naar de slingervijver. Dit geheel inclusief de paden is door Zocher in circa 1818 aangelegd, waarbij dus de Brede Laan en de tot slingervijver vergraven lindekom in de nieuwe aanleg zijn opgenomen. Op ongeveer één derde van de Brede Laan resteert ook nog een tweede achttiende-eeuwse laan, die de Brede Laan loodrecht kruist. Het deel van de aanleg ten oosten van de dwarslaan wordt sterk bepaald door het slingerwater, dat in dit deel nagenoeg over de gehele diagonaal is aangelegd. Het water doorsnijdt een grote weide, respectievelijk de Geitenkamp en de Ezelskamp geheten. Een derde weide, het "Ongelegenkamp" bevindt zich in het uiterste oosten van het perceel. De weiden worden door fraaie boomgroepen omgeven en er staan enkele solitairen in. Op het achterste gedeelte ligt de vroeg-landschappelijke aanleg van Klein-Zwitserland met heuveltjes en slingerbeek.
Op het punt waar het slingerwater zich tot een vijver verbreedt, wordt de Brede Laan tot een cirkelsegment gebogen. Dit deel wordt "Halve Maan" genoemd. Ook dit geheel, het water, de weiden en enkele van de paden behoren tot de aanleg van Zocher. Het geheel wordt omgeven door een parkbos, waarin behalve de paden van Zocher in later tijd ook nog andere paden zijn ontstaan.
Waardering
De HISTORISCHE PARK- EN TUINAANLEG, behorend tot de historische buitenplaats Schaepenburgh is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch en tuinhistorisch belang:
- wegens de nog goed herkenbare zeventiende-eeuwse ontginningsvorm van het perceel;
- wegens de nog aanwezige belangrijke achttiende-eeuwse elementen, met name de aanleg van het hoofdhuis met bijgebouwen, oranjerie en de Brede Laan;
- als onderdeel van het oeuvre van landschapsarchitect J.D. Zocher jr.

Description
Description component 2: HISTORIC PARK AND GARDEN LAYOUT.
The layout extends over the full length and width of the long, narrow plot. This form, including the boundary ditches, is the original reclamation layout. On the west side is the ensemble of main house with coach house and orangery. To the north of that is the former vegetable garden, still recognisable by the serpentine walls, but now scarcely in use as such except for a small section. Directly behind the house is a somewhat sunken lawn with several groups of trees. Important here is the system of sight lines towards, among others, the garden house, a large solitary beech, the Brede Laan and towards the serpentine pond. This whole, including the paths, was laid out by Zocher around 1818, whereby the Brede Laan and the linden dell excavated into a serpentine pond are incorporated into the new layout. At approximately one third of the Brede Laan there also remains a second eighteenth-century avenue, which crosses the Brede Laan at right angles. The part of the layout east of the transverse avenue is strongly determined by the meandering water, which in this section is laid out over nearly the entire diagonal. The water cuts through a large meadow, called respectively the Geitenkamp and the Ezelskamp. A third meadow, the "Ongelegenkamp", is located in the far east of the plot. The meadows are surrounded by fine groups of trees and there are several solitary specimens within them. On the rear part lies the early landscape layout of Klein-Zwitserland with small hills and meandering stream.
At the point where the meandering water widens into a pond, the Brede Laan is bent into a circular segment. This part is called "Halve Maan". This whole area, the water, the meadows and some of the paths also belong to Zocher's layout. The whole is surrounded by a park woodland, in which besides Zocher's paths, other paths have also developed in later times.
Valuation
The HISTORIC PARK AND GARDEN LAYOUT, belonging to the historic country estate Schaepenburgh, is of general cultural historical and garden historical importance:
- because of the still clearly recognisable seventeenth-century reclamation form of the plot;
- because of the still present important eighteenth-century elements, in particular the layout of the main house with outbuildings, orangery and the Brede Laan;
- as part of the oeuvre of landscape architect J.D. Zocher jr.
