Omschrijving onderdeel 10: KOEPEL
Koepel behorende bij het complex historische buitenplaats Berkenrode. Direct ten zuiden naast het toegangshek gelegen 18de-eeuwse koepel. Het gepleisterde gebouwtje telt één bouwlaag en heeft een driezijdige uitbouw, met in elke zijde een zesruits schuifvenster. Daarboven een kroonlijst en een met pannen gedekt schilddak. Tegen de achterzijde bevindt zich een eveneens gepleisterde éénlaagse aanbouw. T.b.v. de straatverbreding is de koepel (XXB) enkele meters naar achteren geplaatst.
Waardering
De koepel is van algemeen belang vanwege:
- zijn decoratieve en functionele betekenis voor de buitenplaats;
- de beeldbepalende ligging in relatie tot het ensemble (hoofdhuis, hek en aanpalende bebouwing) aan de Herenweg.

Description
Description component 10: CUPOLA
Cupola belonging to the complex historic country estate Berkenrode. An 18th-century cupola located directly south next to the entrance gate. The plastered building has one storey and features a three-sided projection, with a six-pane sash window in each side. Above this a cornice and a hipped roof covered with tiles. On the rear side there is likewise a plastered single-storey extension. For the purpose of street widening the cupola (XXB) was relocated several metres further back.
Valuation
The cupola is of general importance because of:
- its decorative and functional significance for the country estate;
- its character-defining location in relation to the ensemble (main house, gate and adjoining buildings) on the Herenweg.
