Ten zuidoosten van het kasteel ligt aan de oude oprijlaan naar het voorplein een kleine, ornamentele BOERDERIJ van het losse hoes-type. De rood bakstenen boerderij op rechthoekige grondslag, welke zich in het midden van de zijgevels, ongeveer een halve meter naar de achterzijde toe verjongd, bestaat uit één bouwlaag en een zolder onder een zadeldak dat aan de achterzijde schildvormig wordt beëindigd. Het dak is gedekt met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen. De noordzuid georiënteerde boerderij is aan de voorzijde voorzien van een trapgevel met decoratieve muurankers; in deze trapgevel ter weerszijden van de risalerende middenpartij met dubbele koetsdeur en hijsluik twee kleine staldeuren; de deuropeningen zijn alle voorzien van glas, de deuren zelf zijn gehandhaafd als luiken. De gevel is aan de bovenzijde over een breedte van circa één meter voorzien van een stuclaag met imitatievoegen. De trapgevel en de parallel aan de dakluin schuin aflopende gevels zijn voorzien van een ezelsrug. In de overige gevels verschillende kleine vierkante meerruits vensters met luiken, halfronde gietijzeren stalvensters en eenvoudige toegangsdeuren; uiterst rechts in de rechter zijgevel nog een dubbele inrijdeur, thans voorzien van glas, maar met behouden deuren. De boerderij werd vermoedelijk tussen 1873 en 1875 gebouwd. Van het begin af aan is het de bedoeling geweest stalruimte met ornamentele waarde te creëren, als blikvanger in de parkaanleg. Het pand is dan ook nooit als boerenbedrijf in gebruik geweest.

De BOERDERIJ behorende tot de buitenplaats Huis Vorden is van algemeen belang:

Description
To the southeast of the castle, on the old approach road to the forecourt, stands a small, ornamental FARMHOUSE of the loose hall-type. The red brick farmhouse on a rectangular ground plan, which narrows approximately half a metre towards the rear at the middle of the side facades, consists of one storey and a loft under a gabled roof which is terminated in a shield shape on the rear side. The roof is covered with dampened Dutch tiles. The north-south oriented farmhouse is on the front provided with a stepped gable with decorative wall anchors; in this stepped gable on either side of the projecting centre section with double carriage door and hoist shutter two small stable doors; all door openings are provided with glass, the doors themselves are retained as shutters. The facade is provided at the top over a width of approximately one metre with a stucco layer with imitation jointing. The stepped gable and the facades sloping diagonally parallel to the roof edge are provided with a roof ridge capping. In the remaining facades various small square multi-paned windows with shutters, semicircular cast-iron stable windows and simple entrance doors; at the far right in the right side facade another double carriage door, now provided with glass, but with retained doors. The farmhouse was presumably built between 1873 and 1875. From the outset it was intended to create stable space with ornamental value, as an eye-catcher in the park layout. The building has therefore never been used as a farm business.
