KOETSHUIS. Ten zuidoosten van het kasteel ligt aan de oostzijde van het voorplein een koetshuis in neo-renaissance stijl uit 1879 (jaartal vermeld op gedenksteen aan de voet van het torentje). Het pand is opgetrokken in rode baksteen, bestaande uit verschillende bouwvolumes van één bouwlaag en een kapverdieping onder een samengesteld dak, deels gedekt met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen, deels voorzien van een (licht getoogd) plat dak.
Vanaf het voorplein gezien bestaat het linkerdeel van het pand uit drie achter elkaar geplaatste beuken, waarvan de buitenste beuken worden beëindigd door een trapgevel, op het dakschild van de middenbeuk een dakkapel. Het rechterdeel van het pand bestaat uit twee achter elkaar geplaatste beuken. De steekkappen achter de beide trapgevels en die van de dakkapel gaan over in een afgeplat schilddak dat aansluit op het afgeplatte schilddak van het rechter bouwdeel.
Centraal in de voorgevel (west) een risalerende middenpartij voorzien van een trapgevel en gedekt door een steekkap. In deze middenpartij verschillende vensters, alle met halfronde zandstenen ontlastingsboog waarin een schelpmotief. Links van de middenpartij centraal een rondboogdeur binnen een pilasterstelling, bekroond door een tympaan. De deuropening is voorzien van glas, de deur fungeert als luik. Boven de deur, halverwege de daklijst, een dakkapel in de vorm van een dubbel hijsluik gedekt door een steekkap met forse overstek. Aan de rechterzijde aansluitend op de middenpartij een achthoekige traptoren onder een met leien gedekt tentdak waarop een eenvoudige spits. De toren is voorzien van een klok. In de gevel die aan de rechterzijde aansluit op de toren verschillende vensters met een halfronde ontlastingsboog en schelpmotief en een eenvoudige toegangsdeur die thans als hoofdingang in gebruik is.
De symmetrische linker zijgevel (noord) is samengesteld uit de beide trapgevels, zoals boven beschreven, waartussen de lagere middenbeuk met dakkapel. De trapgevels zijn identiek aan de trapgevel aan de voorzijde, de middenbeuk heeft een centrale dubbele inrijdeur waarvan de opening is voorzien van glas, de beide deuren zijn gehandhaafd als luiken.
In het rechterdeel van de achtergevel (oost) een dubbele inrijdeur voorzien van glas met behoud van de beide deuren en een meerruits venster. Tegen het linkerdeel van de achtergevel is in 1988 een aanbouw geplaatst. In de zuidgevel twee meerruits vensters.
Waardering
Het KOETSHUIS behorende tot de buitenplaats Huis Vorden is van algemeen belang:

COACH HOUSE. To the southeast of the castle, on the east side of the forecourt, stands a coach house in neo-Renaissance style from 1879 (date recorded on a commemorative stone at the foot of the tower). The building is constructed in red brick, consisting of different building volumes of one storey and a roof space under a composite roof, partly covered with dampened Dutch tiles, partly provided with a (slightly curved) flat roof.
Viewed from the forecourt, the left part of the building consists of three bays placed one behind the other, the outer bays being terminated by a stepped gable, with a roof dormer on the ridge of the middle bay. The right part of the building consists of two bays placed one behind the other. The hip roofs behind both stepped gables and that of the roof dormer merge into a flattened hipped roof which connects to the flattened hipped roof of the right building section.
Central to the front facade (west) a projecting centre section with a stepped gable and covered by a hip roof. In this centre section various windows, all with semicircular sandstone relieving arch featuring a shell motif. To the left of the centre section centrally a semicircular arch doorway within a pilaster setting, crowned by a tympanum. The door opening is provided with glass, the door functioning as a shutter. Above the door, halfway up the eaves line, a roof dormer in the form of a double hoist shutter covered by a hip roof with substantial overhang. On the right side adjoining the centre section an octagonal stair tower under a slate-covered tent roof with a simple spire. The tower is provided with a clock. In the facade adjoining the tower on the right side various windows with a semicircular relieving arch and shell motif and a simple entrance door now in use as the main entrance.
The symmetrical left side facade (north) is composed of both stepped gables, as described above, between which the lower middle bay with roof dormer. The stepped gables are identical to the stepped gable on the front, the middle bay has a central double carriage door with the opening provided with glass, both doors retained as shutters.
In the right part of the rear facade (east) a double carriage door provided with glass with retention of both doors and a multi-paned window. Against the left part of the rear facade an extension was placed in 1988. In the south facade two multi-paned windows.
