Omschrijving onderdeel 2: (Numanwei 7, Oudemirdum) HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG VAN RINIASTATE.
Omstreeks 1843 tot stand gekomen historische parkaanleg (zichtbaar op Topografische en Militaire kaart uit 1855), in relatie met het toendertijd gebouwde hoofdgebouw landhuis Riniastate geconcipieerd. De aanleg bestaat uit een patroon van in curven verlopende verdiepte wandelpaden door een parkbos met eik, beuk en hulst als onderbegroeiing (oorspronkelijke assortiment opvallend goed bewaard), die zowel gezien het effect wat deze padenaanleg sorteert (eindeloos dwalen zonder precies te weten waar de wandeling naar toe leidt) als de stijl van aanleg grote overeenkomsten vertoont met de wijze van aanleg van de Friese tuinarchitect Lucas Pieters Roodbaard. De wandeling biedt geen doorzichten naar buiten, met uitzondering aan de westzijde, waar de wandeling bij het meer open gedeelte aan de westzijde van het huis uitmondt. Aan de zuidzijde de ovaalvormige nutstuin, omlijst door een wandeling, eveneens een motief dat Roodbaard toepaste. De hoofdentree van het park lag aan de zuidzijde (als entree bewaard; entreepijlers met hek recent gebouwd, geen onderdeel van de bescherming). Omstreeks 1970 werd de huidige oprijweg in landschappelijke trant aangelegd, die de parkweide aan de noordzijde in een curve afsluit. De aanleg van deze weg alsmede de hekpijlers met het toegangshek vallen buiten de bescherming

Description of component 2: (Numanwei 7, Oudemirdum) HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT OF RINIASTATE.
Historic park layout created around 1843 (visible on the Topographic and Military map of 1855), conceived in relation to the country house Riniastate built at that time. The layout consists of a pattern of walking paths running in curves through a park wood with oak, beech and holly as underplanting (the original assortment remarkably well preserved), which both in terms of the effect that this path layout produces (endless wandering without knowing exactly where the walk leads) and the style of layout shows great similarities with the manner of layout by the Frisian garden architect Lucas Pieters Roodbaard. The walk offers no views outward, with the exception on the west side, where the walk opens out at the more open section on the west side of the house. On the south side the oval-shaped utility garden, framed by a walk, also a motif that Roodbaard used. Just northeast of the house a circular plantation of oaks, enclosing a round riding school. This motif also appears more frequently in Roodbaard's parks (Fogelsanghstate). On the southwest side of the house the layout shows a more open structure with specimen trees. Old views give an impression of the original arrangement on the west side (circular paths and specimen trees) where in the 1990s a layout in a more historicizing style was created. The main entrance of the park was on the south side (preserved as an entrance; entrance pillars with gate recently built, not part of the protection). Around 1970 the present access road was laid out in landscape style, which closes off the park meadow on the north side in a curve.
