Omschrijving onderdeel 3: POORTGEBOUW.
De toegang tot de buitenplaats wordt gevomrd door een poortgebouw uit ca. 1500, dat rond 1870 in neogotische stijl is verbouwd; volgens de kadastrale kaart van 1832 bevonden zich aan weerszijden van het poortgebouw twee lagere haakvormige zijvleugels (woningen) die vermoedelijk aan het einde van de 19de eeuw zijn gesloopt en vervangen door twee aflopende muurtjes. Het op vierkante grondslag opgetrokken gebouw van handgevormde baksteen bestaat uit twee bouwlagen onder een met leien in maasdekking gedekt tentdak bekroond door een dakruiter. De poortdoorgang met houten opgeklampte toegangspoort beschilderd met geel-blauwe kleuren heeft een kalkstenen geprofileerde omlijsting met hoekblokken, waarvan de segmentboogvormige boog op twee consoles met gebeeldhouwde kopjes rust. Langs de dakrand loopt een bepleisterd rondboogfries op kraagsteentjes tegen een natuurstenen kroonlijst. Boven de doorgang in de frontgevel is een vierpasrozet met houten roedenverdeling en de naam "EYCKENLUST" aangebracht, ook in de achtergevel een rozet en in het dakschild een klein driehoekig fronton met vlieggat (Verdieping duiventil). Trap naar zoldering. Aan weerszijden van het poortgebouw een schuin aflopende gemetselde muur, afgesloten door meerkantige bakstenen pijlers. Eenvoudige houten brug over slotgracht (XX).

Description component 3: GATEWAY.
Access to the country estate is formed by a gateway building from circa 1500, which was converted in neo-gothic style around 1870; according to the cadastral map of 1832 on either side of the gateway building were two lower hook-shaped side wings (dwellings) which were presumably demolished at the end of the 19th century and replaced by two sloping walls. The building erected on a square ground plan of handmade brick consists of two storeys under a tent roof tiled with slates in overlapping tile pattern crowned by a roof turret. The gate passage with wooden clamped access door painted with yellow-blue colours has a limestone profiled moulding with corner blocks, of which the segmental arch rests on two consoles with sculpted heads. Along the roof edge runs a plastered round-arch frieze on corbel stones against a natural stone cornice. Above the doorway in the front façade is a four-lobed rosette with wooden glazing bars and the name "EYCKENLUST" applied, also in the rear façade a rosette and in the roof panel a small triangular pediment with flight opening (Pigeon loft storey). Stairs to attic. On either side of the gateway building a sloping masonry wall, closed by multi-sided brick piers. Simple wooden bridge over moat (XX).
