Inleiding.
Bij de bouw van het voorgebouw van het INTERNAAT Saint-Louis in 1923 werd, vermoedelijk eveneens door architect Bennaers op de cour, ter afscheiding van hen tuingedeelte ten noorden van deze cour, een HEK geplaatst in Art Decostijl.
Omschrijving.
Smeedijzeren hek op bakstenen voetmuur met natuurstenen afdekking, geplaatst tussen bakstenen pijlers, eveneens met natuurstenen afdekking. Links en rechts van de openslaande vleugels in de as van het voorgebouw zijn op de pijlers koperen lantaarns geplaatst in Art Decostijl. Het hek telt aan de oostzijde vier vakken, aan de westzijde vijf en twee haaks hierop gerichte vakken parallel aan de Vincentiusbouw.
Waardering.
Het hek is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van een geestelijke en geografische ontwikkeling, namelijk de stichting van katholieke onderwijscongregaties en de uitgroei van Oudenbosch tot odnrwijscentrum van nationaal belang, het is van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van de internaatsgebouwen; het is van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de ornamentiek; het heeft ensemblewaarden als onderdeel van een groter geheel, de kern van Oudenbosch, dat stedenbouwkundig van nationaal belang is; het is gaaf bewaard gebleven.
