PARKAANLEG als onderdeel van het complex "De Eder Kuil" uit 1936 naar ontwerp van Weener.
Omschrijving
Bij de aanleg, die lichte invloeden vertoont van de landschappelijke tuinstijl, is zorgvuldig rekening gehouden met de geaccidenteerdheid van het terrein en is bestaande beplanting opgenomen in de groenaanleg. Het overgrote deel van de beplanting is aangelegd, waarbij inheemse planten zijn toegepast als hulst, coniferen, rododendron, laurier, taxus, berk, wilg en klimop. De beplanting is aangebracht rondom de paden, de gebouwen en het speelveld. Vanaf het open, verdiepte speelveld loopt de beplanting schuin omhoog naar straatniveau. Op de overgang tussen de orkestbak en het speelveld is lage beplanting aangebracht. Op de helling van het muziekpodium bevindt zich haagbeplanting. Rond de gebouwen en aan weerszijden van de paden is bosachtige beplanting aangebracht. Het padenstelsel zorgt voor een complete en functionele ontsluiting van het terrein en de gebouwen. Het stelsel maakt een goede regulatie van bezoekersstromen mogelijk en zorgt ervoor dat spelers zich vrijwel ongezien door het groen kunnen verplaatsen. De paden slingeren rondom het open speelveld tussen de bossages en de randbeplanting. De hoofdpaden zijn bestraat met beton met grind; secundaire paden zijn niet bestraat. Enkele delen van de paden hebben betonnen of bakstenen keermuren of zijn een stukje overdekt. De meeste trappen zijn met beton met grind bekleed.

Description
In the layout, which shows light influences of the landscape garden style, careful account has been taken of the uneven terrain and existing planting has been incorporated into the green design. The vast majority of the planting was laid out, using native plants such as holly, conifers, rhododendron, laurel, yew, birch, willow and ivy. The planting has been arranged around the paths, the buildings and the playing field. From the open, sunken playing field the planting slopes upward toward street level. At the transition between the orchestra pit and the playing field, low planting has been placed. On the slope of the music podium there is hedge planting. Around the buildings and on either side of the paths, woodland planting has been arranged. The path system ensures complete and functional access to the site and buildings. The system allows good regulation of visitor flows and ensures that performers can move virtually unseen through the greenery. The paths wind around the open playing field between the copses and the edge planting. The main paths are paved with concrete and gravel; secondary paths are unpaved.
