Inleiding onderdeel 15.
De bij de historische buitenplaats Clingendael behorende SCHUUR is omstreeks 1915 als bouwpakket, vermoedelijk uit Noorwegen afkomstig, neergezet. De schuur functioneerde aanvankelijk als broedhuis, vervolgens als bollenschuur en thans als woning en atelier. De vormgeving is Ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl. De schuur staat langs één van de uitlopers van de waterpartij.
Omschrijving
Vrijstaande tweelaagse schuur op rechthoekige plattegrond is opgetrokken met rabatdelen onder een zadeldak (golfplaat).De geteerde rabatdelen zijn op de begane grond staand en op de verdieping liggend. De rechtgesloten gevelopening zijn voorzien van vensters met roedenindeling. De achtruits verdiepingsvensters in de langsgevels zijn voorzien van onderdorpels die worden geaccentueerd door gesneden klossen. De vensterkozijnen zijn wit geschilderd en contrasteren met de donkere gevels. Openslaande laad- en losdeuren komen voor op de verdieping in de noordelijke en zuidelijke kopgevel en de westelijke langsgevel. Tegen de zuidgevel staat een houten trap naar de verdieping.
Waardering
De voormalige schuur is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur-, de architectuurhistorische en de ensemblewaarde:
- als een bijzonder onderdeel van een der belangrijkste 17de-eeuwse buitenplaatsen in de regio;

The BARN belonging to the historic country estate Clingendael was erected around 1915 as a building kit, presumably originating from Norway. The barn initially functioned as a brooding house, subsequently as a bulb storage shed and now as a dwelling and studio. The design is in Craft-traditional style. The barn stands along one of the offshoots of the water feature.
Description
A detached two-storey barn on a rectangular plan is constructed with rabbeted boarding under a gabled roof (corrugated sheet). The tarred rabbeted boards are vertical on the ground floor and horizontal on the upper floor. The rectangular window openings are fitted with windows with glazing bars. The rear tall windows on the upper floors in the long façades are provided with underdorpels that are accentuated by carved corbels. The window frames are white-painted and contrast with the dark façades. Opening loading and unloading doors occur on the upper floor in the northern and southern gable ends and the western long façade. Against the south façade stands a wooden stair to the upper floor.

The former barn is of general importance for its cultural-, architectural-historical and ensemble value:
