Omschrijving
KLOOSTER, bestaande uit een samengestelde bouwmassa van een tweelaags rechthoekig blok onder schilddak waarvan de nok evenwijdig aan de straat loopt en een lagere, langgerekte vleugel onder schilddak met de nok haaks op de straat, die zich daarachter uitstrekt. De rechter zijgevel van het pand is naar de school gericht en heeft diverse uitstekende delen, verspringend in hoogte en steeds onder schilddaken geplaatst. Het zijn vanaf de straat gezien een portiek, een trappenhuis, een garage (die tot tegen de school aan is gebouwd) en een dwarsvleugel. Het geheel is uitgevoerd in baksteen, het samengestelde dak heeft overstekken en is gedekte met verbeterde Hollandse pannen. De ramen zijn voor het grootste gedeelte samengesteld, voorzien van metalen kozijnen. Op de verdieping aan de voorzijde zijn hoge ramen met matglas aangebracht. In de zijgevel zijn enkele ronde raampjes zichtbaar. Verspreid over het dakvlak aan de voorzijde van het pand zijn driehoekige dakkapelletjes geplaatst. Het pand is rondom voorzien van een tuin, van de straat gescheiden door middel van een ligusterhaag. Het interieur verkeert nog in grote lijnen in de originele staat.

Het kloostergebouw is van algemeen belang. Het pand heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van een culturele en geestelijke ontwikkeling, namelijk de typologische ontwikkeling van het katholieke congregatieklooster in het interbellum. Architectuurhistorisch is het belangrijk vanwege de stijl, de detaillering en als voorbeeld van het werk van het belangrijke regionale architectenbureau Geenen. CLOISTER, consisting of a composite building mass of a two-storey rectangular block under a hipped roof with the ridge running parallel to the street and a lower, elongated wing under a hipped roof with the ridge perpendicular to the street, which extends behind it. The right side gable of the building faces the school and has various projecting sections, stepping in height and each placed under hipped roofs. These consist, viewed from the street, of a porch, a stairwell, a garage (which has been built up to the school) and a cross-wing. The whole is executed in brick, the composite roof has overhangs and is covered with improved Dutch tiles. The windows are for the most part composite, provided with metal frames. On the upper storey at the front, tall windows with frosted glass have been installed. In the side gable several round small windows are visible. Scattered over the roof plane at the front of the building are small triangular roof dormers. The building is surrounded by a garden, separated from the street by means of a privet hedge. The interior remains in large lines in the original state.
