Inleiding
Het koor van de kerk wordt aan beide zijden geflankeerd door een aanbouw die doorloopt tot aan de pastorie. Hierin zijn ondergebracht de sacristie en de kathechismuskamer. Deze TUSSENRUIMTE in neoromaanse stijl naar ontwerp van P. Stornebrink en gebouwd in 1893-1895, vormt tevens de verbinding tussen kerk en pastorie.
Omschrijving
De eenlaags TUSSENRUIMTE is vijf traveeën lang en drie breed en heeft een vergelijkbare detaillering als de kerk. Opvallend is dat de detaillering versobert naar de pastorie toe, waardoor de tussenruimte niet alleen in functie maar ook in vormgeving een overgang vormt tussen de kerk en pastorie. De schilddaken zijn gedekt met leien in maasdekking en zijn voorzien van enkele kleine dakkapellen. In de langsgevel aan de straatzijde is een middenrisaliet aangebracht, dat eindigt in een puntgevel. In dit gevelgedeelte is een driedelige rondboograam aangebracht. De twee rechter traveeën zijn voorzien van tweedelige rondboogramen. In de travee links van het middenrisaliet is een tweedelig rechtgesloten raam aangebracht en in de meest linkse travee bevindt zich de toegangsdeur. De langsgevel aan de achtergevel heeft dezelfde opbouw en detaillering, zij het dat het rondboogvenster in de middenrisaliet is voorzien van een houten raam met roedenverdeling, dat vermoedelijk in later tijd is aangebracht. In het zuidelijke deel van dit bouwwerk is de sacristie gelegen, die toegang geeft tot het koor van de kerk. In het noordelijke deel bevindt zich de kathechismuskamer. De ruimte die beide delen met elkaar verbindt, wordt overdekt door een bovenlicht in de vorm van een zadeldak, gedragen door bewerkte houten spanten.

The sacristy and catechism room are housed within this INTERMEDIATE SPACE in Neoromanesque style, designed by P. Stornebrink and built in 1893-1895, which also forms the connection between church and presbytery.

The single-storey INTERMEDIATE SPACE is five bays long and three wide and has detailing comparable to the church. Notably, the detailing becomes simplified towards the presbytery, whereby the intermediate space forms a transition between the church and presbytery not only in function but also in design. The hipped roofs are covered with slates in Maas bond and are provided with a few small roof dormers. In the long facade on the street side, a central projection is applied, which terminates in a pointed gable. In this gable section is a three-part round-arch window. The two right bays are provided with two-part round-arch windows. In the bay to the left of the central projection is a two-part flush window, and in the leftmost bay is the entrance door. The long facade on the rear elevation has the same structure and detailing, except that the round-arch window in the central projection is provided with a wooden frame with glazing bars, which was presumably installed at a later date. In the southern part of this building is the sacristy, which gives access to the choir of the church. In the northern part is the catechism room. The space connecting both parts is covered by a fanlight in the form of a gabled roof, carried by worked wooden roof trusses.
