Inleiding
Uit 1888 daterend GRAFMONUMENT in neo-gotische stijl van H.L. (Henri) Jurgens, 1840-1888, en zijn vrouw T. (Theodora) van Waardenburg, 1840-1899. Henri Jurgens was als zoon van Antoon Jurgens (wiens graf onder I beschermd wordt) het financile brein van de firma. Het grafmonument is het meest rijk uitgevoerde van de gehele begraafplaats en werd vervaardigd door de Utrechtse beeldhouwer Friedrich Wilhelm Mengelberg, 1837-1919.
Omschrijving
Het grote en circa 3,5 meter hoge grafmonument bevindt zich op het onder I beschermde kavel. Het grafmonument heeft een ruwweg vierkante grondslag en bestaat uit een hardstenen sokkel met daarop de twee hardstenen grafplaten die met elk met een kleine krans gedecoreerd zijn. Zich verjongende stèle bestaande uit drie gedeelten.

-Een bovengedeelte in de vorm van een gotische kapel met onder andere zuilen, pinakels, kruisbloemen en hogels. Centraal geplaatst is een getote driepasnis met daarin figuratieve sculptuur. De voorstellingen hierin zijn in het onderliggende tekstgedeelte eigenlijk al genoemd. Henri en Theodora zijn knielend afgebeeld aan de voeten van een door een mandorla omgeven Maria met Christuskind op de arm. Hun beider patroonheiligen staan geruststellend achter hen opgesteld. De portretten van Henri en Theodora zijn naar het leven. Belangrijk is verder nog dat Henri is afgebeeld met de onderscheidingstekenen van een ridder in de orde van Gregorius de Grote. Sculptuur en kapelgedeelte zijn vervaardigd van Franse kalksteen. Het grafmonument is zeer rijk aan details en bezit een hoge kunsthistorische kwaliteit. Het graf is op de rechterzijkant op ooghoogte gesigneerd: W.Mengelberg.

GRAVE MONUMENT dating from 1888 in neo-Gothic style of H.L. (Henri) Jurgens, 1840-1888, and his wife T. (Theodora) van Waardenburg, 1840-1899. Henri Jurgens, as son of Antoon Jurgens (whose grave is protected under I), was the financial brains of the firm. The grave monument is the most richly executed of the entire cemetery and was made by the Utrecht sculptor Friedrich Wilhelm Mengelberg, 1837-1919.
Description
The large grave monument, approximately 3.5 metres high, is located on the plot protected under I. The grave monument has a roughly square ground plan and consists of a limestone base with on it the two limestone grave plates each decorated with a small wreath. A tapering stele consisting of three sections.
