Inleiding.
Tussen kazemat S 545 en S 547 resteren de fundamenten van de betonnen ombouw van G-KAZEMAT 546, van het type (135) lv.
Omschrijving.
Het betreft betonnen werken, die voor het grootste deel onder het maaiveld zijn aangebracht.
Waardering.
De G-kazemat is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een culturele en geografische ontwikkeling, namelijk de versterking en daaropvolgende verdediging van Nederland tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog en is als zodanig een belangrijk document van de militaire geschiedenis. Het is van architectuur- en bouwhistorisch belang wegens het bijzondere materiaalgebruik en de toepassing van moderne materialen en technieken, met name in de verwerking van gewapend beton en gietstaal. Het heeft ensemblewaarden als essentieel onderdeel van een groter geheel, dat cultuurhistorisch van belang is en is van belang wegens de hoogwaardige kwaliteit van de bebouwing en de historisch-ruimtelijke relatie met wegen, wateren en bodemgesteldheid. Het geheel heeft een grote belevingswaarde en is als grootschalig militair complex en herinnering aan een belangrijke episode uit de nationale geschiedenis zeldzaam.

The object has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a cultural and geographical development, namely the fortification and subsequent defence of the Netherlands during the Second World War and as such is an important document of military history. It is of architectural and building-historical importance because of the particular use of materials and the application of modern materials and techniques, in particular in the processing of reinforced concrete and cast steel. It has ensemble values as an essential component of a larger whole, which is of cultural-historical importance and is important because of the high-quality standard of the building and the historical-spatial relationship with roads, waterways and soil conditions. The whole has considerable perceptual value and as a large-scale military complex and reminder of an important episode in national history is rare.
