Inleiding
In de noordwestelijke hoek van de algemene begraafplaats van Sambeek staat op een kindergraf het GRAFKRUIS van A. en E. Verberk (+1918) en J. Verberk (+1919), dat waarschijnlijk uit het eerste kwart van de twintigste eeuw dateert.
Omschrijving
Het graf heeft een neogotisch gietijzeren grafkruis, dat voorzien is van een architectonische detaillering met pinakels en toten. In het centrum een lege naamplaat. Aan de voorzijde van het graf een ovaal gietijzeren naambord omgeven met een krans met florale motieven, waarop de namen.
Waardering
Het gietijzeren grafmonument is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociale en geestelijke ontwikkeling, in het bijzonder de ontwikkeling van de katholieke grafcultuur, het is tevens van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van het gietijzeren grafmonument.
