In de noordoostelijke hoek van de algemene begraafplaats van Sambeek staat het ongedateerde GRAFKRUIS van T. Thijssen (+1966). Het kruis dateert waarschijnlijk uit het eerste kwart van de twintigste eeuw.
Omschrijving
Het opengewerkte gietijzeren grafkruis heeft in het centrum een opgebrachte, eveneens gietijzeren afbeelding van de gekruisigde Christus, omgeven door een stralenkrans. Op de kruisbalken verder florale motieven, de tekst: "I N R I" en enkele engelenkopjes.
Waardering
Het gietijzeren grafmonument is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociale en geestelijke ontwikkeling, in het bijzonder de ontwikkeling van de katholieke grafcultuur, het is tevens van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van het gietijzeren grafmonument. In the northeastern corner of the public cemetery of Sambeek stands the undated GRAVE CROSS of T. Thijssen (+1966). The cross probably dates from the first quarter of the twentieth century.

The openwork cast-iron grave cross has in the centre an applied, likewise cast-iron image of the crucified Christ, surrounded by a sunburst halo. On the cross beams further floral motifs, the text: "I N R I" and several cherub heads.
Valuation
The cast-iron grave monument is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a social and spiritual development, in particular the development of Catholic grave culture, and it is also of importance for the typological development of the cast-iron grave monument. It has ensemble values as part of a larger whole. It has been well preserved. As part of a coherent series of cast-iron grave monuments it is rare.
